Salgado Is A Hero Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I remember all this before the Arsenal game. How many games does one team actually reach double figures? Spain - Tahiti is the only one that springs to mind.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 15, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted December 15, 2013 The only crumb of comfort is that City have been quite poor away this season. That being said, I obviously expect us to be soundly beaten!!

Claytons Left Boot Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Long gone are the days when a top team would put out their strongest eleven and the first Saturday in January was the highlight of the season. Completely undervalued competition now until the quarter finals because of the damned Premier League.

ABBEY Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Just watching Mansfield in cup and it's showed John Radford ..chairman . Is that the same one that played for us way back when?
folkdevil Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Just watching Mansfield in cup and it's showed John Radford ..chairman . Is that the same one that played for us way back when? Alas no but John Radford signed for us from West Ham when I first started watching Rovers. Quite a coup at the time.
West Yorks Rover Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Just had a look at stats Leicester v Man City at Ht 0-2 City 11 shots 6 on target Leic 0 shots Corners 5-1 to City. Oh dear !!! Never mind perhaps Jason will pull a cracker out of the bag when they come to Ewood.
PLJPB Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Just been told by a City fan at work that every time they have appeared in a final previously they have subsequently been knocked out in the 3rd round the following year so there may be hope for us yet! Also been asked is the Fernhurst still closed for away fans on match days? - Anyone know? Cheers
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Citeh nearly have the sold out signs up according to Bluemoon...usual shyte being spouted about them buying tickets in bundles for our home areas!
windymiller7 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Just got my tickets for me & the daughter. (nearly forgot to claim our own seats!). Not expecting much, although you never know if City put out ther 8th team and we have a really good day. Does anyone know why the BBE upper is closed for this game as stated on the club website? Seems odd shutting the family stand.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Probably giving it to citeh fans knowing the gobshytes running our club!!
windymiller7 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 That wouldn't surprise me. Lets' make sure they can make as much noise as possible from all sides of the ground and throw stuff onto the home fans below! I'm just hoping that they've maybe filled it with the school groups or something. The wording is odd though, it says 'closed' rather than 'unavailable' or 'sold out'.

It's been closed a few times before for cup games in the past.
martonrover Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 It's been closed a few times before for cup games in the past. Sign of the times when we can't even get close to filling the ground for such a big game.
FGS5635 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 2-1 to Rovers... Cairney and Dunn. That would be double win as it would mean we have signed cairney. Me likey
CapeTownRover Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 im just trying to be optimistic here lol, but the best i hope for, is that we will give a good account of ourselves. nobody gave us a chance against Arsenal at the Emirates, and we all know how that turned out

only2garners Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Does anyone know why the BBE upper is closed for this game as stated on the club website? Seems odd shutting the family stand. Simply because they expect to be able to accommodate all the Rovers fans wanting to attend without opening it up. Closing the Family Stand saves a lot in staffing costs and also pushes more fans into seats on view to the TV cameras. Should ticket sales justify it they'll open up but I don't expect they will need it - do you?

Our sales for the City game are just over 2,600 to date (home fans obviously).

Mike Graham Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 It is early days, we will sell a few more by Saturday week. It may though have been a good idea to have given the Mancs the JW as well.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Can the Mancs not afford BT Sport?

Yes seeing as we need the brass i suppose a section of the upper JW although they'll probably pitch up in there anyway. I think if we can get 10k Rovers on it's fair enough all things considered.
