Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 If the players attitude is right tomorrow I believe we will win. If the players think 'it's only Yeovil' then we could well come unstuck. Hopefully Bowyer and his staff have prepared them well and emphasised the necessity for hard work and correct mentality. When did we last have a team of players with " The right attitude " ?

Backroom Tom Posted December 21, 2013 Backroom Posted December 21, 2013 Yep no excuse not to win today Have a great day all those travelling down
cesus Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I hope the players turn up for this away fixture it's got all the usual ingredients to be a let down as it fits the category of "easier" game in the league. The excellent away support deserves a good result.
Gav Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 This thread is starting to sound like the Doncaster thread a few months back and we all know what happened that night
G Somerset Rover Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Drive safely everyone, just been down the m5 and for long stretches it was like pea soup! It's gonna be one hell of a battle today, especially with the weather. COYB.
thenodrog Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Yep no excuse not to win todayYeovil might think of one. Have you forgotten the lesson handed out by Doncaster Rovers Tom? (apologies Gav.. you just brought it up). Over complacency amongst a squad of players is a recurring nightmare for managers. I'd imagine Yeovil will come out fully motivated with their tails up and a desire to 'win their personal battles in the first 10 mins'. Will we? They know they are the underdogs in squad 'value' and wages and they will be out to prove a point. The Rovers have to match their physicallity or they will struggle. Simple as. We need to treat this game as if we wanted 3 points for automatic promotion cos it'll be no good looking back in May at these sort of matches thinking 'if only we could play X,Y or Z again' will it? It's a day for strong captaincy and senior pro's to lead from the front and set the right example from the KO..... Do we have either?
OJRovers Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Great turnout of 1k travelling to the game. The away followers deserve a result after being let down so many times. Big test to see if we can get some consistency today. Hope Dunn plays a part.
Backroom Tom Posted December 21, 2013 Backroom Posted December 21, 2013 We didn't play well against Doncaster and lost, not good enough I'm not saying we will definitely win but I am saying we should win and if we don't someone or some people haven't done their job well enough Another couple for JR today against a flimsy defence with Cairney getting one as well
Doug Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Don't think this is the 'walk in the park' some are suggesting. Wouldn't be te end of the world if we got a draw, but I would love a victory to keep us in touch. Come on Rovers!
chaddyrovers Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 ROVERS: Eastwood, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Spurr, Taylor, Lowe, Cairney, Marshall, Dunn, Rhodes subs: Kean, Kane, Kilgallon, Williamson, Judge, Rochina, Gestede
Backroom Tom Posted December 21, 2013 Backroom Posted December 21, 2013 Dunn in for King Thought king had his best game in ages last week Looks like king may be injured
FGS5635 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Wonder if that means dunn out wide then or wether he will move taylor out there
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 21, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted December 21, 2013 Wonder if that means dunn out wide then or wether he will move taylor out thereiirc GB said after the last game that the midfield 3 were interchangeable, they may well have that flexibility again....
Stuart Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 That's a reasonably strong bench. (Obviously it's all relative).
FGS5635 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 iirc GB said after the last game that the midfield 3 were interchangeable, they may well have that flexibility again.... Good point. I hope so as dunn is a bit wasted out wide
bazza Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Marshall, Taylor and Dunn will switch positions as they usually do.
Kie_BRFC Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Happy with that team. Looks like a 4-2-3-1 with cairney and Lowe playing deep. At least he hasn't started with 2 dms
Backroom Tom Posted December 21, 2013 Backroom Posted December 21, 2013 If I was a betting man id be contacting Malaysia to bet on a Dunny injury He always almost without fail picks up an injury that prevents him playing over Christmas
FGS5635 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Only concern I have is the team lacks pace, which away from home isnt ideal, but footballing wise it looks strong. Come on rovers lets have a big performance today COYB!! AV IT!!
Amo Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Good line-up. Pleased that Bowyer has resisted the temptation to go ultra-defensive with Lowe AND Williamson, although that could be because the latter isn't 100% fit yet.
Colt Seavers Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Its stopped raining at the ground after a torrential downpour and the sun is threatening to come out! Good news for the lads shivering on the open end! Pitch looks good! COYB!!!
Backroom Tom Posted December 21, 2013 Backroom Posted December 21, 2013 @OneRovers: The Rovers players throw blue-and-white hats and scarves to the Rovers fans who have made the long journey down to Huish Park. Nice touch! Remember when they used to kick balls out before a game?
