tomphil Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 It's strange - some people think the club will fold if venkys go (my view). Some think it will fold if they stay. My main view is that if we could get the ewood attendance higher - we would have a better chance of surviving either way. Tell us a club who's crowds climbed as it got worse though ? Pompey retained a good support but that's it apart from Man City years ago who's crowds got bigger the further they fell. We have to fight hard to retain what we have under the present climate and only really imaginative thinking or a really good season will get a few back. Always been the case virtually everywhere but Blackburn has always been a harder place to draw regular large crowds from. I do think it would go a good bit higher if the mob departed although how long for I don't know. The damage they've done is staggering. A figurehead is needed at this club and someone to put a bit of belief back into the fans. Briefly it was Bowyer but the mediocrity of his management last season has eroded that. A leader in the boardroom would help galvanise the club again and FFP is no excuse for that as they are allowed to pay for that out of their own pocket I believe.

Gav Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 That's true Gav, but he obviously went too far. I think he made a reference to Glen Mullan's safety and called him a name. It was early this morning I noticed he was banned! I think he questioned if he'd be safe, that wasn't a threat was it? I didn't read it as a threat, I was going to post the same myself! We have posters that have said far worse still @#/? posting, who banned him?
glen9mullan Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Just to point out before anyone thinks I got sonic the hedgehog banned, I never even saw the post . However I'm lead to believe it was for some other things he posted

It may actually help if we also have an individual able to communicate with the dwindling remains of our fan base.

joey_big_nose Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Someone suggested a few weeks back a locked banned list should be started which is publically viewable in ask admin with who banned, why, by who and for how long. I think that's reasonable enough.
Rover_Shaun Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 4th July 2014 ---------------- LET - Blackburn Rovers season ticket sales 'up 30 per cent' 15th July 2015 --------------
Amo Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Shaw has been using his Jedi Mind tricks on more than just 1864roverite, it seems.
JHRover Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 We will never find out the accurate number of season tickets sold. For some reason the club treats the subject as a big secret and refuse to disclose specific numbers, even when sales increase as they apparently did last season. The chances of matching or bettering last season's sales are slim to non existent, so the club will go to even more trouble to conceal the information. The only information the club is willing to release to supporters consists of short interviews with players talking about their personal fitness/views on the season and advertising 5 a side leagues. Important/useful information - like ticket sales, the clubs future, the owners views, comments from the invisible board, a general clue as to what the hell is going on, progress re. the embargo etc. must be kept to an absolute minimum. The Lancashire Telegraph toe the line by only printing interviews with Olsson/Spurr/Hanley etc or relaying national transfer rumours rather than pressuring/pushing for real information. This inevitably leads to endless speculation and rumours which can be nothing but detrimental to the club. The most ironic part of it all is that we are the only club in this division that pays a Communications Director a very good salary to do it.
Backroom Tom Posted July 15, 2015 Backroom Posted July 15, 2015 They still aren't back on sale yet are they?
Mike Graham Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 4th July 2014 ---------------- LET - Blackburn Rovers season ticket sales 'up 30 per cent' 15th July 2015 -------------- I hope it is true, but unfortunately doubt it. Also 30% of what?
Backroom Madon Posted July 15, 2015 Backroom Posted July 15, 2015 They were up 30% in 2014, what Shaun is trying to say is that we've not heard a peep about Season tickets this season and therefore one would believe that sales aren't positive!
tkturner Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Just signed my online document for the season ticket payments to begin... If anyone paid by direct debit through Premium Credit last year there is a way to add this years new agreement to your existing log in screen. Just use the detail you logged in with last year rather than creating anything new and its simple to do from there with your new agreement number under "add agreement" Here's to a new season... Lets hope for some better performances...
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 15, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted July 15, 2015 At last Madon someone has got the jist Seemed simple enough to me as well to be fair.....
EgyptianPete Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Seemed simple enough to me as well to be fair..... Actually went to the store last Saturday to renew as I missed the deadline with being on holiday, I had to fill the form in (luckily I took it with me), the very nice chap then told me that it would take a week or so for administration and they would send the new card out then end of July, apparently we are all getting new cards this season, then I got the new shirt, ah well joined the asylum again
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 15, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted July 15, 2015 I just sent mine in the post, and I got an e-mail to say it was being processed the next day. If they want to send out new cards that's fair enough, but it seems a waste of money for people renewing in the same seats like myself to get new cards if their existing ones still work.

According to a couple of lads at work who have them, Man Utd send out new cards every year so minimise any forgery attempts. Maybe that's our ploy, the demand on the black market must be phenominal!

I think we've had the same cards for the last four seasons. Pretty sure we are due.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 15, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted July 15, 2015 If they still work, like I said I'm not that assed about a new one. Though if yours is like JBIZZLE and the Rovers badge is as faded as his, I see your point!!
old darwen blue Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I renewed my Darwen end ticket a fortnight ago and was told to keep the existing one.
only2garners Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 We will never find out the accurate number of season tickets sold. For some reason the club treats the subject as a big secret and refuse to disclose specific numbers, even when sales increase as they apparently did last season. 10,901 full STs and 481 half STs last season - is that accurate enough for you. Reported in Fans Forum minutes and on here at the time. Sales this year reported last night at the Forum to be very slightly up on last year at the claim your own seat deadline day. I just sent mine in the post, and I got an e-mail to say it was being processed the next day. If they want to send out new cards that's fair enough, but it seems a waste of money for people renewing in the same seats like myself to get new cards if their existing ones still work. There is an upgrade of the SkiData system going on which requires the issue of new tickets for everyone. The current system is about 12 years old. I renewed my Darwen end ticket a fortnight ago and was told to keep the existing one. Definitely wrong.
