Owen Coyle

Just too much of a coincidence that his being dumped was reported as wanting to be closer to his family...

Frankly with some of the names being mentioned it would almost be a relief

Appointing Owen Coyle would be "a relief"?

I saw a worrying interview the other day by Duff (the dingle one) saying how acceptedly unprofessional they were under Coyle.

If he gets the job i'll be getting my relief by sticking a hosepipe in to my van exhaust.

I know someone who produced something for Coyle whilst he was Burnley manager - and discretely put a Rovers badge on it 😅

I think the only things we can be certain of is whoever gets appointed, it will be too late for the manager to have a proper preseason with the players, he won't be given any meaningful funds to bring new players in, the new manager will be a name that inspires apathy and derision from the fans and we'll be relegated by early April.

Oh,and whoever it is will be walking by Christmas.

People hoping for Colin, there's no hope of anyone like that. It will be someone cheap and crap.

They're you go, I've taken all the suspense out of it for you

Yep, release a load of terrifying names so we'll settle for the most underwhelming one they can find. With Cheston doing holidays and a complete lack of any info or movement from the club I suspect the manager is a done deal, they know who it is but are just waiting for the right moment to announce it. Also shift a few STs first.

So ignore all these wobblys being thrown in; who is the money on (and I don't mean SkyBet)?

I'm going to go with Joyce

I know this is going to sound very naive! but is their any possibility at all that Chestons holiday is a bit of a ruse and he's actually abroad speaking to a few foreign managers about the job?

No as he is in Skegness for 2 weeks

Hope this Coyle thing is a joke or something?

Worst manager we could appoint

Not saying he's the answer but how is he worse than Mcleish or Redfern? They are all either busted flushes or never will be's!

You use 'proven in the championship' to support some managers but not others who have seen promotion here, seems odd logic mate.

Seemed like the next big thing at Burnley but either wilted or got found out:

I just want it done with now we are going to appoint one desperado or another, Warnock and Joyce the only names that intreagued me, the rest much of a muchness.
