MarkBRFC
With the dingles starting there season at home on Saturday 10th August, it looks like we'll be at home on the opening weekend (3rd August) Also looks like a home game on Boxing Day, away on New Years day, and away on the final day of the season if it falls on the same weekend as last season. Fixtures released next Thursday (20th) at 9am.

rog of the rovers
Good spot First time we'll have started the season at home since Norwich (h) 6/8/16 - 1-4 loss: Stokes First home Boxing Day fixture (which I must admit, I always prefer a Boxing Day home vs. a New Years Day home) since Rochdale (h) 26/12/17 - 2-0 win: Dack, Mulgrew pen. Burnley are away on 21st December and at home on 28th December, so Rovers will probably have 21st December/Boxing Day (home) and 28th December and New Years Day (away)

Mattyblue
Wigan away midweek AGAIN! Too much to ask that our only two Lancs away games can be on a weekend?
philipl
As I pointed out on the other thread, we get a nightmare August and the prospect of three relegation six pointers to finish off with.

arbitro
Swansea away on Wednesday 11th December and Bristol City away three days later. Thanks to the EFL once again.
Bigdoggsteel
Tough start, but if we have a good August , it will certainly be something to build on. Great game to start with IMO. Must win!!!!
matt83
Might just be me but as I was looking down the list for games to look forward to pretty much weren't any. Suppose it’s only June and there’s time left for a slow burning interest in a few.
Mattyblue
At least it isn't as bad as two years ago when it took me a minute to realise we weren't listed in the Championship fixtures at all...
rigger
I am destined never to see us at Swansea
JHRover
Charlton and Brentford away consecutive weekends in February. Will be an expensive week. Plus side is only Swansea away stands out as a real pain of a trip.
Mattyblue
Cardiff away on Good Friday. So much for local fixtures when there is little public transport.

I don’t care I’m never going there again, in my last 4 visits there I’ve seen us draw once and get absolutely smashed 3 times. I’m not going there again the place is cursed ? Or we get off to a great start, and clinch promotion with a game to go. Then a massive following to Luton for a party. blueboy3333
Our excellent start made last season rather comfortable. This season those opening fixtures are a nightmare. We'll be close to the bottom by the end of August. From then on we'll be in a relegation battle if we don't recover quickly. It's good to be alive?
only2garners
Well it's not gone well for me. I knew I would miss quite a number but the count is already 8 home games missed, with no doubt others missed later.

Which flies in the face of the perverse rationale to play local derbies at weekends and long, arduous away matches in midweek to maximise income. It seems like they make it up sometimes. Mattyblue
I've noticed that every season there seems to be more and more back to back home games (and vice versa).

They'll have a full squad and confidence will still be high from the previous season. You're better off playing them when they've lost a few through injuries and suspensions plus when they've taken a few bangings !
