Hyam is a good, but unspectacular CB at this level. His best ability is the fact that he's never injured or suspended, but he's easily replaceable from a quality perspective.

Two years on and they've worked damn hard to get us here. That squad was far too good to deliver relegation and the annoying interventions of JDT and Eustace derailed the operation. Fortunately both were forced out of here so that staff more receptive to the plan could be brought in.

What we are now seeing is the culmination of a 2-3 year plan, orchestrated by the owners and delivered by their underling(s). 

Time and time again we are swimming against the tide with these owners dragging the club backwards every way it can. Still some can't see it. They deserve Venkys and what is coming next.

There's no way you can dress up selling your main CB at the last minute purely for money as anything other than a cost cutting measure. Yeah, sell players who have a year left but not an hour before the fucking deadline. Set of twats. 

Wrexham have been sniffing around for a CB in that price range. We're the fools that accepted - everyone else told them to f' off.

I bet they couldn't believe their luck when someone offered nearly double what we paid for him - and he's nearly 30.

There's clearly absolutely no money at the club - the transfer business this summer (and how they treated Eustace) tells you that.

Getting £2.7m for a player we paid £1.5m isn't bad business, but the timing of it is really poor. Unless we've got something miraculous lined up in the next hour. I can't see it, though.

I don't think Miller has made a good right-back so far. The Birmingham game is a key example, and he seems technically clumsy. However, I think he'd be better suited at the back given his physique. Maybe he'll get better and make that position his own with a bit of time.

 

All last season he was very good, one of our best players. In his first season, he was our player of the season.

He isnt easily replacable, certainly not for cheap, hes a top half standard Championship centre back.

We are going into the season with 3 centre backs and 2 have serious injury issues. We signed Miller as a right back clearly and are now scrambling around to loan an unwanted Birmingham utility man, there is no way it can work to come close to sufficiently replacing him.

Value in a deal has to include the timing you admit is terrible. £2m a month ago with a replacement signed is much better value to us than £2.7m hours before the deadline. Well, to the team. Not the bell ends who have probably confirmed our relegation with this last day.
