Waste of typing mate.

I disagree mate.

Pretty clear that if said situation were to be true then the fans are in agreement with the club that negotiations should be terminated. Contrast this with the usual comments about how useless the club is because we can't sign certain players despite seemingly being in agreement with their club...

Put me down for No too. We simply could not afford that, especially with the likes of Robinson, Formica etc. proving hard to get rid of.

So was there another Twitter rumour of Venky's being at the game today with mysterious people who allegedly may be new buyers possibly?? Or did Mercerman blag his way into the executive boxes under the false name of Sheikh Djibouti?

Hypothetical question: Barry Bannan wants 40k per week for 4 years (30k basic + 10k when he actually plays). Yes or No?

No

Nay

Never

Barry Bannan is expected to be the latest casualty in Lambert’s squad
trimming with a £600,000 move to Blackburn Rovers.

The Scotland international is training away from the first team but is set to
revive his career at Ewood Park, after Blackburn tabled a bid late last week.

at the bottom of the page is this story about Bannan to Rovers

Cue a mad scramble to search if he's on the Forbes list.

Nothing new in terms of Bannan news here (rehash of daily mail/telegraph pieces)but shows how highly he was once rated and that there may be some hope of him getting himself back on track at Rovers.

If he signs, I've no idea how this one will work out to be honest. Here's hoping. A decent footballer in centre midfield could make a huge improvement to the side.

Bowyer is unhappy at Rovers for stalling on a deal for Bannan cos Rovers don't want to match his 15k a week wages that's he on at Villa.

Bowyer wants Bolton's striker Craig Davies for 500k and get rid of Orr aswell. Orr is on 1 million pounds salary. he is one of several big earners who will be moved out of Gary Bowyer's side.

Both stories are in Today's Sunday People.

If he's the answer to our massive midfield dilemma (posted about in the Everton thread) then we have to get him signed up. There's not many players who fit the bill on what our midfield currently needs (assuming you can only bring in one player).

As for Orr - £1 million a year?!?!? He was a reserve at QPR so how come he managed to get this type of contract out of us. Plus he's poo - in ability and attitude. One of the worst contract situations I've heard of, even for Rovers.
