Nothing malicious, no. But it's extremely disappointing to still see such soft goals being let in and the same defensive frailties and lack of style this far into his reign!

Absolutely K-Hod, couldn't agree more.

He's a poor manager, with no experience thats pulled a few rabbits out of the hat.

Thats what you get when you take the quick easy option to appointing football managers, its been repeated several times and will continue when Bowyer is sacked or resigns.

Only one way to improve the situation.

From the sounds of it he has looked better this season, but as one of the manager's pets and club captain, he'll play irrespective of form.

He did for most of last season and that was another annoying thing. So whilst it's great he himself has clearly got his act together you're right in saying he could have been @#/? from the first match this season and still retained his place and captaincy. Same as many of us predicted Spurr would be put back in at the first opportunity. All so predictable, that's why it's nailed on sooner or later the keepers will be swapped around imo.

I agree he was a good football man and yet, for all the positives you mention - and I would agree with them - he was still disliked by the fans during his last twelve months at the club and pressure was put on Fox to get rid of him. If you don't win, fans aren't happy and that never changes. United fans wanted rid of Ferguson before they won their first title under him - unhappy fans is the one consistent in football.

In this case, and most cases, though the fans where/are right.

Saxton was removed after losing 5 in a row and us sitting in a dire position in the league. In football you cannot sit on your laurels, you have to keep delivering or you will be replaced.

We brought in Don McKay, just clung on to survival that season, then massively improved over the next few seasons, before JW invested his money.

I think in terms of the players in on loan we've just gone for the cheapest options. If these lads were available for nothing or next to nothing then that's why they've ended up here just to fill up the spaces because there is no other logic to them.

Is it Bowyer who's bringing them in or is it someone else?

In fact, who actually is picking the team?

Is Raya Balaji's favourite keeper, Steele is Madame Gashbreath's and Eastwood is Weedy Venky's? and they have a fight each week to see which goalie gets the nod?

Players on short-term loans who are never played, a kaleidoscope approach to team selections, a defence who've seemed like strangers to each other for 2 years.

Come on, what the hell is going on there?

The one thing Gaz got right was sticking with Duffy and Hanley. I would have played Killer, but they've looked decent and improved with each game proving most of us on here wrong.

Nothing wrong with admitting a mistake.

Sadly every other position, Conway aside, has under performed.

So jbn who does Craig aim for now that Rudy has gone.

It's his post match comments which make me think he's more than incompetent. They're so distorted and aimed at India it's untrue. He's either lying through his teeth or utterly deluded. I suspect the former.

Mind you it's a poor do when Rovers fans biggest debate is whether the manager is a incompetent with an agenda or just plain incompetent.

Gary and the club should have found a way round bringing Matty Derbyshire back in the summer.

That would have been effectively impossible as we would have had to pay a transfer fee and thanks to the embargo we can't.
