So according to Nixon in today's Sun, Venkys are going to 'pump millions into the club in a bid to end the embargo'. Apparently we've told the football league that the owners will be investing 'fortunes' to cover running costs and give PL money to spend.

Surely if we're looking to get out of FFP telling the FL that we're gonna be splashing loads of cash isn't the way to go about it?

Ruing the decision to sell Gestede! if that's the case.

Ha! Balaji's found Nixon's 50M treasure chest down the back of his sofa!

Nixon is not making any sense at all there. As I understand it will be on a legal front that we will look to get out.

If you are drowning you don't swallow more water to survive.

Agreed, but he definitely appears to have an 'in' with our new manager. He covered our game yesterday and refers to him as 'Lambo'.

Yeah all the signs are pointing to us coming out but not the way he has explained. Anything that Nixon prints now will be as good a source as you are going to get now.

Throwing some names out there, no links just players we could/should look at.

Grabban either perm or loan.

Odemwingie on loan... I know people don't like big time charlies here anymore but recon would score goals in the championship. Only a loan because he's getting on a bit.

Dwight Gayle (if Belaji gets his wallet out) would be class at this level and would give us the required pace and finishing we need up front.

Fraizer Campbell, proven at this level, in and out of Palace team, would be a good option.

Anichebe on loan, only started 1 game this season and has sat on the bench 9 times. Totally out of the picture at Albion, recon would be a menace in this league.

Adam Armstrong at Newcastle, on loan at Cov and smashing in goals for fun... Not sure if it's season long but if not could be a shout to get in there in January with either a loan or permenant offer.

There has to be a lot of cash about to be made available or there is no way Lambert would have taken the job in my opinion. Cash ahoy. Lets hope he spends it well, and Venkys have made some kind of cockup in their understanding of how we get out of embargo.

Im in two minds about Gestede. Great player who will score a shed load of goals but I feel like for the sort of money it would take to bring him back (even if he wanted to come back which I think is a big long shot) we could find a striker better suited to Rhodes.

There's absolutely no chance of him coming back.

Steve Sidwell.

Shout, similar sort of player to Jones at Burnley, can bag a goal or two.

The lad showed glimpses of being a good un in his 3 games. As mentioned above, surely to play right back and centre half cover.

Always find it strange when two different managers sign the same player, not in a dodgy way. Our scouting team/network must have presented him to Lambert, don't think this is a Lambert signing.
