Guest Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Wolves have really taken a nosedive. Looking at their remaining four fixtures this month, I can't see them getting more than 4 points.
Mercer Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Colleague in Midlands tells me Lambert is 'wobbling'. Seemingly, Nigel Pearson on standby.

koi Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Just seen that Fleetwood are in an automatic promotion place in League One. Just think, 10 years a go they were playing in a league one league below the league Chorley are in now.

After witnessing just how bad we were in the main under Lambert I'm surprised anyone is surprised at Wolves' plight. Let's hope they keep him until the end of the season at least.

If he take them up then it a great achievement and him and Rob Kelly deserved alot of credit. Plus their owner has invested and built the club up. Still very surprised Lee Johnson hasnt been sack but good news for us he hasnt. Nottingham Forest have appointed Frank McParland. Ex Rangers and Brentford scout and DoF. Will Mark Warburton and David Weir end up there in the summer?

Will Mark Warburton and David Weir end up there in the summer? Fleetwood have done exceedingly well. This demolishes the theories put forward on here and club propaganda that 'we can't compete' and 'natural level' nonsense. If you've got an owner with ambition and a brain and make the right signings and appointments then the sky is the limit. Location/fanbase/size completely irrelevant as Fleetwood are showing. Lowest average crowds in the 3rd tier with less than 3,000 on average turning up yet challenging Sheffield United with 20,000+ averages. Rosler is a good manager and is someone else we should have gone to instead of Coyle. Rumour on the grapevine is that Warburton will take over in the summer provided Forest survive. At the moment they're 6 points above Bristol and have had some decent wins at home recently so I think they might get there. McParland is Warburton's buddy and has become D of F until the summer. That's a very unusual arrangement for a D of F to take over for 2-3 months. I'm sure it will be extended if they survive. We need Bristol to stick with Johnson for another few weeks so we can establish a lead over them that any new manager will struggle to overcome.

People don't like to hear it, but crowd size has very little to do with whether a team is successful on the pitch or not. If it was then the Geordies would be in the top six of the Prem, and Wigan would never have gotten into the top tier at all. Club structure, management personnel and hard working, professional playing staff are all the vital ingredients. Crowds will come to watch if a team is successful, but it's a symptom of success rather than the cause.

Dont think Rosler has spent anything at Fleetwood but has improved the players already there and a couple of clever loan players in. Dont see Lee Johnson getting sack tbh. Seems they will stick by him. Wouldnt be surprise if Warburton gets the Forest job. McParland will be lining players up for the summer recruitment

There might be announcement in a couple of hours by Bristol City according to this. Not sure how credible it is, just relaying it here. Maybe Johnson will get potted after all. Let's hope not. Edit: Actually sounds like John Pemberton (first team coach) is getting canned, rather than Lee Johnson. Bristol City fans up in arms! If this is true, I assume it's good news for us. Let the off-the-field turmoil brew.
LDRover Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Shades of when John Jensen got potted here instead of Kean
Guest Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 That Bristol City announcement was obviously rubbish. Still, the more uncertainty there, the better. Nicklas Bendtner has left Forest to join Rosenborg, more or less citing Forest as an unstable setup where he can't settle. I remember thinking what an outstanding coup it was for Forest when he signed in September. Can't believe he's only 29! Given the turmoil at Forest, it's odd that they comfortably beat Brighton at the weekend. Just goes to show how unpredictable this league is. In the same vain, let's hope that Brentford can get something there tonight and put the jitters up them.
