You don’t have to be a former player, manager or fan, but it certainly helps. This is what I said on my first post on this topic, it seems to be getting lost ☝️ 3 hours ago, roversfan99 said: But he had never had any actual affiliation with the club. He didnt "know the club" based on the point I am making about this need to prioritise someone who has played for or managed a club prior. He didnt win all them trophies because he had been a fan as a kid. How can you not have an ‘Affiliation’ with the club you’ve always supported? Quote

By affiliation, I am obviously referring back to the initial argument that a former player/manager shouldnt be automatically preferred purely due to nostalgia. Loads of poorer European leagues similar to the SPL have 4 fixtures against each team due to the league being smaller. I am sure lots also have strong religious links. Its irrelevant to the manager anyway, the job is the same, to win football matches. Quote

Norbert Rassragr Posted Tuesday at 02:29 Posted Tuesday at 02:29 Steve Kean was once a Celtic reserve player. Maybe he can take the job. 1 Quote

B16Rover Posted Tuesday at 21:56 Posted Tuesday at 21:56 Miller and Alebiousu are probably our two best signings this year, is there any other SPL guys outside of the old firm who could step in here? Quote

Whilst many Rangers fans are sceptical about this appointment, this lad is the real deal, I hope he’s given the time to put his mark on the club. Danny Rohl getting a tune out of these misfiring Rangers players, same with O’Neill at Celtic. Hearts drop 2 points at home, it’s all to play for. Quote
