If we entertain selling Rothwell to our main promotion rival then it would be sheer madness. Do not sell in this window under any circumstances - let alone to bloody them.

We won't.

We should put a bid in for one of their players just to piss them off.

‘However, the Cherries haven’t reached anywhere near the valuation that Rovers have for the 27-year-old who has been a key performer this season.

Reports this morning have surfaced that Bournemouth have submitted a bid in excess of £2m for the midfielder but Rovers are holding firm.’

That reads to me that he could well go to our direct promotion rival in our biggest season for a decade, if the price is right, not ‘piss off, we aren’t selling to you lot of all clubs’…

Scott Parker really is a prick isn't he. I'd put a £1.9m bid in for Solanke.

We are lucky Bournemouth have appointed Parker

A better manager would have that squad competing with Fulham week in week out. Parker isn’t all that great and you’ll probably find he gets a worse club each appointment. Let him focus on his mind games like this whilst we continue to pick up points

You have to have faith in the squad to keep Joe’s head in the game. That’s their job as well as Mowbrays.

Is the source of the rumour Alex Crook the guy who works on Talksport? They're in the business of stirring up gossip and transfer tittle tattle.

Don't think either he or Sharpe have the faintest idea what's actually going on at the Club or the financial position this window.

I hope they see it smacks of desperation. They've got bottom of the league Barnsley in their next match too, you'd think that would be enough motivation than unsettling their nearest rival.

Let’s hope so, but the unexpected/absolutely crazy transfers often occur in the last week of January…

How on earth have you read that from those comments? We’ve rejected the bid and the article says that we’re standing firm. How else can you interpret that??

If Rothwell had given the impression of downing tools and throwing the toys out of the pram then you may have had to consider it. The fact that he is probably playing as well as he has done in his time here suggests that is certainly not the case

In fact the same could be said of all three of "the contract rebels".

I'd rather let him walk for free unless we can get a decent replacement in for that much.

If we are to sell to a promotion rival I would want a decent replacement - plus three times the amount they are offering. At the moment the midfield has an excellent balance (when everyone is fit) - so we need someone who can compliment the midfield.
