We have no guarantee or right to the sell on money for Raya, it was always a huge bonus.

The prem clubs can do as they please.

It just shows how mental the summer transfer thread was earlier this year.

I remember a poster suggesting we try and sign 17 year old Warren Zaire-Emery on loan from PSG.

He’s now been called up to the France senior squad 😂

I called him out on that at the time given he’d played 20(ish) games for PSG last season! ‘Must try harder’ would be the report card for that particular WUM!

I’m glad it wasn’t just me who remembered that post. I searched for it after my post and it has disappeared.

Maybe the poster accidentally deleted it with their sixth finger?

A positive outcome, although I can't imagine it means a budget boost, probably just means we're not going to be in dire straits in January. I'm not clear from the article which High Court this refers to, Indian or UK.

The most depressing thing about that article is the bit that said they didn't want to sell the club and were committed to it.

I'd like for them to explain why at this point. Not interested in hearing empty platitudes about caring about the club or the fans, because we know they don't, and truthfully there's no reason for them to. They never have. They bought it as an investment on bad advice, at best, and if we take this entire nightmare on surface level as being nothing more than that then said investment hasn't worked out.

So what's the real reason they are so intent on holding our club hostage? Because there's nothing to suggest it has anything to do with genuinely caring. Paying the bills (the bare minimum expectation as an owner) isn't enough to prove that they do. Nor is claiming this to be true in the odd soulless statement we get.

Give us a practical reason. A logical reason. Just one. Why are you here?

Or just fuck off.

And when you've fucked off, fuck off from there as well.

Then just keep fucking off until you're in the fucking ground.

If they genuinely cared they'd right the wrongs, but there's been no attempt to do that in their entire time here. They've continually got it wrong, or half right. It seems like it's on purpose. Someone said they don't want to get promoted as it'll mean having to invest more in the club and I'm starting to believe that weird logic.

They always do just enough to keep us stuck in this division.

Appoint a dolloper like Mowbray and give him the money he needs to keep us plodding along.

Appoint an ambitious winner like JDT and slash the budgets so he has nothing to work with.

The mere presence of maggot tells you everything you need to know about their contempt for this club.

When faced with the choice of Warnock who is a promotion specialist or Coyle a useless dick head, they pick Coyle. That backfired as he was too shit even to match venkys ambition, but that sums up what they want for this club.

All this bollocks about trading players then giving them away. The only people I can see benefiting from this are agents. Let's face it, there is a history of agents benefiting from venky rovers.

I don't believe a single thing they say. They are compulsive liars.

If you support venkys in any way, you do not support Blackburn Rovers.

We've got 5 strikers at the club (1 being Vale out on loan), the manager doesn't play any of them, although I suspect Gallagher would have played the majority of games if he was fit.

Any thoughts of bringing in a striker in January will be way wide of the mark. Gallagher the senior/experienced striker (when/if fit) and Telalovic, Leonard and Ennis to keep gaining experience/developing (if JDT ever plays them) with a view of shifting for some profit down the line.

Chances of bringing in a Billy Sharpe type (I'm not saying we should be signing Billy Sharpe, just an example name), to come in and "block pathways" are basically non-existent.

The only way we bring a striker in is if Gallagher is sold. With Szmodics having the season of his life (so far) and being amazingly top of the goals scoring charts, I'm sure GB will say there's no need .

Really not sure where we would look to recruit in January tbh. Apparently left back not being locked at either.

NB

Just starting to get over Friday night, too gutted to comment at the time.

Thought a draw would have been a fair result, considering the injuries we had ,thought we coped really well.

Special word for Scott Wharton, who looked somewhere back to his best, and Travis, who gave it absolutely everything despite being hampered with a knock thoe last 1/2 hour or so

The last window was piss poor and we always have an even worse Jan one.

Squad has the same problem its had for the last few years.  It's missing a striker, it's too small (height wise) and too slow.

We can now add shite keepers back to the list as well.

None of which will be addressed in January.

Left back would be the one position I thought we might have a look at. Not to replace Pickering but Batty doesn't seem to be making much of a breakthrough, so I thought we might be looking at another youth player to bring on.

I'm not sure why people are getting excited about the January window, we're still waiting to hear what went wrong last January which Broughton promised to reveal and unsurprisingly didn't, brushing it all under the carpet with ultimately no recriminations for anyone.

The best thing we could do in advance of this window (apart from potting Waggott) would be to sack Broughton and bring in an actual experienced DOF with an eye for a player who knows the market. Neither will happen of course and JDT will no doubt continue  to be saddled with players he doesn't really want to pick  like Ennis, Telalovic and Wahlstedt.

I don't see back up in any position as a priority. We don't have a striker worthy of the name at the Club  and we have 2 dodgy keepers. Until those issues are addressed we aren't going anywhere, or at least nowhere positive.

I dont think we sign anyone in January, looked at the high court order and it looks like it only covers running costs until end of December.

So I would assume in January we are more likely to sell someone (Wharton) to pay for the next few months of running costs whilst they are allowed to.

If I was a betting man I would wager on us loaning some teenager from a premier league club with the physical attributes of a 14 year old and with little or no starting appearances at any level.

I don't disagree with what you're saying but the club's hierarchy's only concern is to develop players for a future sale. Results are secondary.

5 strikers on the books (however poor they are) and 2 keepers on long terms contracts suggests that we won't be looking at anymore for either position unless someone is sold.
