bazza Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I think the lad is shy and lacks confidence. He needs some good mates at Rovers who can encourage him. He may come good. He should stay off any social media. 1 Quote

I'd say it wasn't a happy celebration at all, in fact I suspect he is a little pissed off if he has felt the need to shut down his Instagram and is now reacting so minimally to scoring. He also started to run to celebrate then suddenly slowed it down which I thought was odd. 1 Quote

Jesus christ the amount of money they earn a bit of criticism shouldn't be an issue. Obviously there's a line and racism etc is a different thing entirely but he was abysmal the other night. 3 Quote
Torgeir Posted October 4 Posted October 4 As long as he takes his frustrations out on the pitch and deliver the goods I don't mind. Didn't contribute too much other than scoring and having a couple of good chances, but that's still an improvement from earlier games this season. Quote
Hasta Posted October 4 Posted October 4 (edited) Pleased for him to put midweek behind him, although shame he didn’t convert one of the other chances. Best thing today was he kept getting in the box and central, something which the two wide players in the first half rarely did. Edited October 4 by Hasta Quote

He definitely had a F You look on his face. Think the problem may be he was a bit of a cult hero where he came from and is a proud international player used to a bit of worship from the stands. They really should be very thoroughly briefed before they come to places like this that the only way to get fans on your side is hard graft and commitment to the team. They should also all be told to turn off replies on social media. The Championship and especially Blackburn Rovers is no place for fragile ego's. Quote
metalrover Posted October 5 Posted October 5 (edited) A modern professional football player needs to be able to handle criticism on & off the pitch, online & offline. Glad the lad got his 1st goal of the campaign, hopefully he builds on it, add to his tally & proves his critics wrong. Tbh I am yet to be convinced that he'll be able to perform consistently. roversfan99 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I think if you are being criticised for your performance then youve got more of a justification to give a bit back. If you were criticised for a lack of effort and desire then you havent really got a leg to stand on. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Through all the years I've played football, it doesn't bother me if people aren't that good but a lack of effort is completely unacceptable. When you're talking about professionals who get paid £10k per week, effort is the bare minimum required. He was rightly called out for his lack of effort. 3 Quote
B16Rover Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Post match interview sounds positive. Manager said he hasn't worked hard enough and so he came out to prove he can 2 Quote

roversfan99 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I dont think a lack of confidence justifies or explains a lack of effort in any way. Quote
arbitro Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Having read that he reported back from international duty with a 'dead leg' and, following a scan will be out for three months something doesn't sit right with me. Since coming back from his international duty he has made two substitute appearances and presumably trained. Of course he might have aggravated an injury but why wasn't the scan done when he returned and presumably reported some discomfort rather than training or playing. 1 Quote

I assumed the international duty was the most recent one. That does seem odd if it's the case as I think he was pictured wearing heavy strapping during one of the away games as well? That said I dont think it would be too much of a stretch to hazard a guess that he isn't particularly happy here judging by his reaction to his goal he scored. Quote

Backroom DE. Posted 1 hour ago Backroom Posted 1 hour ago We should spend the next three months helping him get a move away from here. Would be best for all parties at this point. I would be curious to know what our scouts saw in him beyond pace, because I can't say I've seen any other worthwhile attribute that would justify paying money for. Quote

If Kargbo had pace, ability, and application he would probably be a premier league player. At the moment he has only shown one of those qualities. Edited 1 hour ago by rigger Quote
