No, and it never has been under this ownership.

The only ambition is to keep cutting costs, and getting a side out on the pitch as cheaply as possible.

That's why new contract talk always makes me laugh, not a chance the likes of Riberio, Brittain, Travis, Tronstad, Hyam etc will be getting offers of improved terms when we can get cheaper options in to replace them all.

Sure the results on the pitch won't be as good as this season, but as long as we're bubbling around between 20th-12th nobody cares.

Somehow better than recent seasons, but still poor if you want to be at the top end of a league.

It looked like he picked up an injury celebrating his equaliser on Saturday. He was certainly hobbling when the game restarted.

weiman out ?! no way? thats a huge blow if true. Might not be the quickest, but he knows when to pop up at the right time. That could the blow that kills us.

Really painful to lose Weimann, our top scorer. Knows this league, chipped in with important goals. Shame the legs have gone but he has been a good wise signing overall. One of the few in the squad who has that bit of fire in the belly.

Not confident we can find the goals from Gueye, Dolan, Ohashi and Woodrow.

He kicked one of the spare balls of it's done but I don't know if he actually did it then but as soon As the game kicked off he was limping heavily.

He missed some matches a couple of months ago with what was described at the time as a recurrence of an old injury. The meniscus was probably the issue then.

I have had three meniscus operations and from experience he would really struggle to run if it was torn (which I'm assuming it is). A scan would have showed any damage.

Imagine arguing that losing a 33 year old for 10 games is a blow that could kill you.

Agreed.

He knows how to be in the right place at the right time on occasion but in trrms of general play he's not that great.

Has been a good imact player off the bench.

From his social media post tonight stating he is getting surgery to be fit for pre season says he won't be here next season. The joys of short term contracts is players need to look after themselves.

I’m afraid the poor showing at Swansea was the beginning of the end of our playoff chances this season. Just to get in the playoffs, would have been huge. 

A victory at Pride Park would go a long way in restoring some of that hope. If there was ever a “must win”- in terms practical, emotional, & psychological terms- this is it.
