2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂

[Rover down South]

As we start to look towards loans, spent a bit of time reading through Brighton & Liverpool’s fans forum to see who they were predicting to go out on loan given our history of loaning their players. 

Abdallah Sima - (linked with Norwich loan) is one likely to head out and although listed as a left winger, he is right footed and can play centrally or on the right and has a pretty good eye for goal.

Jayden Danns - Fairly injury prone and didn’t feature at all on loan at Sunderland because of injury. LFC fans feel he needs a full season in the championship to develop.

Both could add that goalscorer we badly missed last season. Just a few names to consider.

Trav, Pears, Buckley? Netting say (be generous) euros 4m.

And voila a tiny surplus for some light bulbs.

(Not factored in all sorts obviously eg. SWAGs salary, reduced player wages…)

That's how I see it.  If Arsenal get anywhere near £2mil for the lad he'll be gone.

Well you've been generous with that Tavares transfer, so why ignore that Brittain was rumoured to be going for £3.5m?

Also why do we have to literally balance the books? We haven't spent any money for absolutely years.

Exiled -indeed, just suggesting that figures indicate more player sales very likely and that the 'mega' sale(s) of the past (which was never spent on players of course) have dried up.

Incidentally and of no great importance really, the Tavares figure was from, as I said, transfermarket and subject to al kinds of variables. More than happy to up the figure (which was mine) for Brittain.

Rovers top 5 priorities
1.    No adverse publicity for the Raos or the Venky company
2.    Reduce overall expenditure – ideally any expenditure (general running costs and player recruitment/wages) to be funded by selling assets
3.    Avoid any revelations re the operating of the club for the past 14 years and the takeover; keep nose clean with EFL
4.    1-3 to be maintained by a cabal at ground level for appropriate remuneration

I mean if we made a genuinely "wow" Steve Archibald type signing then as a one off I'd say that would be absolutely great.

But to do it for every unheard of signing that comes in from the European Lower Leagues that's a bit like having a film crew outside my house waiting to catch me going to work every day. Or having a number 2.

I am like others a bit confused about how we fit all of Tavares, Henricksson, Cantwell, Travis and Tronstad into three roles. And I guess Baradji if he signs.

Axel reminds me a mix of Glen Hoddle & David Platt for his being at the right spot at the right time … He loves to shoot from distance can’t remember anyone else having a pop since Hignett … He looks so easy on the eye … Is not afraid to get stuck in from his high yellow card ratio which is a must for the championship…. Excited by the new signings & the ones to come hopefully 

Only De Neve looks a bit iffy but hopefully he proves me wrong …. Right winger who can score goals more then pacy winger is needed  and if am being greedy a striker ….Michal Cairney & Piotr Sadowski Adam Owen Rudy Gestede have done a decent job with the budget they been given …All the players seem to be happy & proud  to play for Blackburn and that is an important ingredient as Ismael requested …..
