As we already know, Val doesn’t rate Gueye, but he can’t think a lot of Tyjon either if he can’t get in this side.

Three attributes the recruitment team were to focus on were physicality, pace and athleticism. For my money, we are still sorely missing in all three facets and especially, some genuine pace throughout the team. I would say that both Hedges and Ryan A have some pace but the rest are just far too slow and pace up front is just non existent and urgently needs addressing if we are to stay up this season.

It was such a poor lacklustre performance. Really bad from Cantwell I thought. He should have been able to take that game by the scruff of the neck and dominate it. Instead he made bad decisions and his shooting was way off.

Really poor. We are so light up front. Surely Gueye would have done more than Henriksson managed.

Gueye would have been even worse.

Think they know Tyjon is off and are refusing to play him on that basis. There's no way he doesn't at least get on the bench otherwise, considering our subs consist primarily of left backs and left wingers.

Toothless performance, thought we might lose towards the end.

Dont rate Ismael but when you see the state of the squad and bench not sure he is too blame for that one.

Strange that he is travelling with the squad too. Almost like they are punishing him.

If he's attracting all this constant interest from the likes of Arsenal he's surely worth some game time

Supposedly he won't sign a pro contract with us.

As I said this morning Chaddy, we were never winning that 0 3. In all honesty, given we have such an abysmal record against poor teams on horrendous runs, I am just relieved that we didn’t get beat.

Never thought we would get defeat tonight but I expected better going forward especially from Ohashi and Cantwell

Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

As much as the players were bad there is clearly an inflexibility in the instructions from management.

In possession they are statuesque, we never cross the ball when given a set piece and we create absolutely nothing and this has been a theme all season.

For me we are comfortably the second worst team in the league and our constant dropping of points to teams around us will take us down.

Hes superb at what he does (relentlessly press). But if you take that away he seems a bit lost.

I think we have to give one of the young lads a go.

Lacks strength and pace to capitalise on openings. Hesitates when a chance is presented. Always wants to control the ball when sometimes it just has to be hit first time.

I can’t agree that Bannan was poor for them. He lifted his fellow midfielders several notches and they completely won the battle against our lot. He still covers a frightening amount of ground, always an outlet, and while he may have misplaced a couple tonight his passing range and vision is superb. Tronstad couldn’t cope with him.

It’s took Baradji half a season to get fit enough to start a game, but he wasn’t match fit enough to end it - started brightly but faded quickly. Cantwell was far too casual and generally off it. How many times can one player drag a shot wide.

Australia must be hitting a sparse time in terms of player development. Miller is so technically poor and unable to pass a simple ball I’m astonished he’s a regular at international level. McLaughlin is a downgrade on Hyam, Baath, Sanderson and McFadzean.

I love Ohashi, but he was woeful tonight. Clearly not enough left in the tank for him to do his usual running round like a man possessed. That ordinarily hides a multitude of sins, but his finishing was beyond dreadful tonight and his general play not much better. Henriksson is shit. And it’s a real indication of how far we’ve fallen in just 12 months when Hedges is one of our main men.

I know Gueye isn’t very good, but he’s looked a competent option when starting games (when he first signed and a spell after Christmas last year). He’s never looked good coming off the bench, but to drop him completely from the threadbare squad suggests arrogance on Ismael’s part or interference from above.

Not dropping Pears for Toth is weak management. Litherland and Pratt both look like useful members of the squad, but that may have a lot to do with the dross around them, but they don’t look out of place. Hopefully more to come from them.

Norwich lost too and Charlton are sinking after a good start to the season.

Completely shocked we aren't in the bottom 3 given how the squad has been ripped apart. That gives me hope that we may just have enough (or there may be 3 worse teams!)

Goals against column might answer a few questions.
