Does seem an easy option for them.

The truth is most of the managers mentioned have been potted for poor performance.

Rowett got dinged by Oxford. Knowing the championship isn’t an asset if your recent history is one of cocking it up.

Nobody is in the press saying I would be flattered if they asked me. They all have their heads down saying they get on with their boards.

Chris Coleman ticks all the boxes for these idiots. Sufficiently "high profile" to not raise suspicions outwardly but absolutely desperate for a gig, right "connections" and, having been Wales manager, will be used to working with limited resources player wise...

Hope i'm wrong but 33-1 has been a strangely reliable indicator in all things rovers since the morons turned up (though tbf i think that first managerial appointment was probably closer to 500-1...)

Does show how far our expectations have fallen that rowett would be a popular choice - including mine- but it’s a far cry from days we scoured top international targets

sigh.

maybe one day…

Not for me.

Looked to have a very bright managerial future at one point but tailed off and seems to have gone worse and worse as he's gone on.

That's what I thought, but on closer inspection his record is better than what I expected.

Don’t like the fact that the Coleman link keeps lingering - you just know it’s going to be a shocking appointment

One straw to clutch at is Coleman is the same odds - 6/1 to get the Watford job. Sounds like his agent is pitching him anywhere..

Sven Goran Eriksson will finally come. The fact he's dead would not be a problem for Pasha and Gestede.

Ha ha, tickled me that.

My worry is that Ismael was Gestedes man, so they might go with Owens this time around.

Chris Crowe, fine Rovers player from early 1960s?

Died 2003 but could be ideal candidate given our grave position

On Damien Johnson: could it be he just enjoys being employed without the threat of being fired if things go poorly? Loves the club despite its millions of faults and don’t want to get binned, have to move, resettle the family etc? If so I hope he stays on as an employee rather than a manager/head coach. He has been here for some time now, but we don’t hear much from him. I know the feeling from my own “work life”.

10cc?  Feels like whatever happens it'll inevitably feel like the reaction to a wank appointment
