Ricky Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 we set out our stall to keep a clean sheet!!! we conceded 4 and should have been down before half time if it wasn't for Robbo!! I set out to win he lottery every week... I haven't bloody managed that yet either. Get a manager back in and get Kean back into a coaching position!!!

thenodrog Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 If they turned up for the @#/? Allardyce away performances they'll turn up for the even shittier performances HOME and AWAY under Kean. Corrected for you.
mogster Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 This is what our manager says: Blackburn boss Steve Kean on his side's 4-1 defeat by Aston Villa: "The penalty killed us. We set out our stall to get a clean sheet and we let their first goal affect us and our heads went down. We ended up getting over-run a little bit." So HE'S blaming Keith Andrews too?!
thenodrog Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Many posters have been using the Man Utd away defeat as a stick to continually beat Allardyce with. Well imo this was an even worse performance. Anybody disagree?
Bobby G Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Many posters have been using the Man Utd away defeat as a stick to continually beat Allardyce with. Well imo this was an even worse performance. Anybody disagree? I think the Sunderland, Stoke and now Villa matches have been more embarrassing for me as a Rovers fan. Id even say Newcastle too. People may disagree but holding your head in shame in these matches is far worse than a one-off fluke scoreline.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Its the Rubber Dinghy men all over again folks.....you all know what happened last time!
Mattyblue Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Too many on here put their own supposed 'enjoyment' and a wish to see 'football played the right way' before the well being of Blackburn Rovers. So, so shortsighted.
Plastic Head Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 the only good thing that came out of today is that Kalinic scored. i dont care how it ended up in the net, its goes down as his. the guy 6 goals in 15 starts . nt a bad return for a guy who features in 2 games then is dropped for 3, then features in two games.....and is dropped for the next three. Forgive me if I don't crack open the Champers.... A good thing to come out of today would have been some points, or at least a solid gutsy performance, Keith spontaneously combusting or us even managing to finish with same number of players we started with. The next home game will be attended by a diminished but very angry rabble, and if a few boos for Keith upset people....you ain't heard nothing yet.
Bobby G Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Matty, some people need to realize that clubs like us CANT play that sort of football even if we wanted to. United cant do it even cause their talented players have dried up. You cant play sexy football with the average footballers we, Wigan, Wolves or West Brom have.
broadsword Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Oh dear, this thread has not made good reading. How long have the Wanky's been in charge, is it really only 4 months? The Trustees have off-loaded us onto a a group of people who haven't the first clue how football works. My mate didn't believe me a fortnight ago when I said we could go down. Well, it's looking more likely now. I have this premonition of us going on a relegation odyssey, with Venky's disposing of us once their little adventure goes completely flat, leaving us up the spout in more than one way. Since they have taken over the club, they haven't done one thing right. It needs skilled and experienced operators to keep us in this division, and we've gotten rid of two of them, the most important two. The club right now is a runaway train heading downhill fast. Disaster may be averted this season, but at some point it's going to get ugly. Maybe the Wanky's have distant ancestors from Burnley?
OscarRaven Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Many posters have been using the Man Utd away defeat as a stick to continually beat Allardyce with. Well imo this was an even worse performance. Anybody disagree? Alright we heard you now shut up for bit. Its not like your 3000 posts a day have any diversity from this topic is it.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 What planet is Kean living on? His quotes wind me up even more. The aim of any team is to keep a clean sheet ffs but we should have been dead and buried by half time. Please act now and get rid of this clown.
booth Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 So HE'S blaming Keith Andrews too?! But yet kept him on till the 79th minute. Let's face it, Andrews is a very poor player and there's not many who would have given away a penalty like that. I'm pretty sure he's not a footballer at all. I've long felt he must be a painter and decorator, or similar, who did a decent job for Ince once, and Ince thought he'd do him a favor. He must have a blinder of a personality. BUT, we were getting pasted in the first half, we were very lucky not to go in 3-0 down.
Plastic Head Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 This is what our manager says: Blackburn boss Steve Kean on his side's 4-1 defeat by Aston Villa: "The penalty killed us. We set out our stall to get a clean sheet and we let their first goal affect us and our heads went down. We ended up getting over-run a little bit." When what he should have said was: "We were shyte from start to finish. It could have been 10-0. I don't what what the hell I am going to do about it. We are definately going down. Thought Keith had a good game though."
BRFC1995 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 On the back of 2 weeks to prepare I love the defeatist attitude about how the penalty "killed us". while its 11 against 11 with loads of time left to say going 1-0 down killed us is quite simply disgraceful from our manager, so defeatist its not true, if it does'nt look like a manager, act like a manager or speak like a manager its ..steve kean, your useless please leave.
Mc Love Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 What planet is Kean living on? His quotes wind me up even more. The aim of any team is to keep a clean sheet ffs but we should have been dead and buried by half time. Please act now and get rid of this clown. I think he tried it on Football Manager and the fans were pleased so he thought this might work when the team lose IRL
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 On the back of 2 weeks to prepare I love the defeatist attitude about how the penalty "killed us". Yeh but the fact is we've not ONCE this season gained even a point after going behind. That tells me a lot about our " Team Spirit ". Spineless @#/?s.
Backroom DE. Posted February 26, 2011 Backroom Posted February 26, 2011 Just saw Kean's interview on Sky Sports... "these things happen" in regards to Andrews mistake. YES, STEVE, THEY DO IF YOU PUT KEITH ANDREWS ON THE PITCH.
Dan Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Steve Kean is not a manager. Might be a good coach. But its a different world. Standing clueless on the sidelines with the man who will make "waves in world football". He is an amateur at best. He has been found out tactically very early and only wins over two sides sliding down the table in West Brom and Liverpool glossed over the rubbish tactics we have seen. Our home form has deteriorated, and our away one is worse than ever. We need 3 wins to stay up. I was certain Sams head start would help us but we have been so lucky that all teams below us have been inconsistent. A couple of weeks of results for them like today and we will be in the bottom 3. This false "11th" place has blinded some people. About our beloved owners. I dont want to say a word that may get me in trouble. This is a sinking ship ladies and gentlemen. I wish we could do something. Shouldnt these Pune people be held accountable for their appointment of Kean? How do they run their own business? They appoint him on a 6 month deal and then extend it for 3 years. All in the name of stability. I would be laughing so hard if I wasnt a Rovers fan. Anyone know when Kean's presser is? I hear its going to be impressive. Great post. I've nothing against Steve Kean, but he was not the appointment that was needed. To give him an extended contract was madness, though I think the reasoning behind this was that, maybe our owners thought a 6 month contract would show lack of stability and cause issues? God knows what they were thinking with the whole thing though. They obviously know absolutely nothing about football. No one would have suggested Kean as manager, no one, in a million years. Neil McDonald would have been my choice, if they were looking to promote from within. So far Venky's have not shown that they have a clue. Appointing Kean was a HUGE HUGE gamble, that had little chance of paying off. They don't know what they are doing and I must ask the question: How the hell could 'The Trust' not see that these lot are bloody clueless? It was obvious to me and most other people from day one. They couldn't even find suits to fit them properly.
Plastic Head Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 "A bad day at the office" was it Mr Steve Kean. No no no. A bad day at the office is when you forget your butties, the internet goes down and you have nothing to entertain yourself, you are walking round with your flies down all day, you're boss finds out you haven't actually done anything for 2 weeks or the bird with the big norks in HR gives you the old knock-back. This was much much worse than that.
Roversider Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Ouch, I am glad we won't face Villa again this season. They really seem to have us under a spell. We desperately need to put this behind us and focus on the next games.
Balwer Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Ouch, I am glad we won't face Villa again this season. They really seem to have us under a spell. We had beaten them in the previous three League encounters, home and away...
Iceman Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 We went out there to keep a clean sheet? We should have been out there, to ###### win a game 1st and foremost. If that's the attitude by Kean, then its best if he steps down as manager. He aint a manager, and that is something we desprately need right now. Why doesn't he fly to India? In fact, is he not expected to fly over once a month to report back? He hasn't been to India in a while, so its looking like he did fly over to discuss the manager position.
Doogs Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Keano for the dustbin along with his bloody signings and his mates in India. While these cowboys are running the club, they can stick their season tickets were the sun dont shine. Good bye Premier league. Hello Scunthorpe.
Jimmy612 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Alright we heard you now shut up for bit. Its not like your 3000 posts a day have any diversity from this topic is it. What a shocking post... I bet you used to hate Allardyce didn't you? Unless you can post something of any use don't bother coming on pal. Do you happen to have anything useful to say on Theno's post? Perhaps a counter argument?
