Mr. E 695
wow I don't know what's happening, but I'm liking it. First time I've said that in a long while.

Tony will need an algorithm to help him pick a starting XI from that lot. It’s a valid point. Mowbray has always faired best when he has had fewer options. With so many options now at Tombola Tony’s disposal we need to break the mould and operate a squad rotation policy that generates momentum. Can’t argue with his choices, Venkys have backed him once again. He now has to deliver. All in all a very good window. The irony being that nobody is there to see it. rovers11 1000
Harvey will play. No way Liverpool would have let him come here without some kind of verbal promise that Harvey will get game time, especially as they had no intention of letting him go until TM put up a strong case. Him and Dolan will compete for the right attacking spot. The signings today probably spell the end for Davenport and Chapman. ben_the_beast 587
We might have a lot of options. But in a way it is no more than previous years. There is just a lot more balance. If Elliot signs that is
rovers11 1000
I have no idea what the first choice 11 will be when everyone is fit. That's a great sign.

The question is with so many players to choose from will Tony have an idea of his best XI? On his past form I don't see that as a good sign

I don't think so....unless Liverpool have a clause in the deal guaranteeing him game time. No one can guarantee game time, but some clubs want a fee if the player doesn’t play a set number of games, very good loan signing.
Paul Mani 3173
I do think it’s different this season in that we genuinely need two players for each position. We now have this in spades...big chance!
Traviscon 284
Haven't signed Elliott yet, but I think it's similar to the previous week where we have to have the deal sheet in by 5pm. Another positive this season, looks like we've installed a newer fax machine, maybe we've even implemented e-mail! Edited October 16, 2020 by Traviscon

Though I don't normally like it - rotation will be important this season.
philipl 7032
Elliott has to be registered in the 25- he is on loan. Dolan is under age so doesn't have to be. Then it is a question of under 21 when? Buckley and JRC have both just had their 21st birthdays. If the cut off is the nominal start on the 20/21 season, they can both be treated as under aged. Hayden Carter Carter is still under 21, Scott Wharton isnt. Players who are 21 whose birthdays were before 30 June include Stergiakis and Davenport Edited October 16, 2020 by philipl

JacknOry 4721
The Greek keeper wouldn't have to be registered either? correct?

Good to hear. If he slots in on the left with Dolan on the right which I'd like to see that would be harsh on Brereton who has also started well but if he's even better so be it, there shouldn't be any sentiment in football and that's where Mowbray has gone wrong over the last couple of seasons imo. Can't see how we are loaning the Greek. It would be to a league below and I doubt they're scouting Bulgaria down there. They won't know who the fuck he is so they're not gonna rely on him to keep goal. Fisher loan meant to be up in the air last I heard.

There's going to be an awful lot of unhappy players in Mowbray's squad. As someone has pointed out, Mowbray can only pick 11. On the other hand, the bran tub of Tony's Tombola has just got even deeper. Stand by for more chopping and changing and different tactics every week to try and keep the camp happy. TM has already said he has a decent squad but light on numbers, he’s rectified that, there will be injuries, squad numbers about right, with probably a couple going out on loan, as well as Charlie going to Fleetwood. Very decent window, with a mixture of permanent, loans, experienced and young ‘uns.. Only slight disappointment is that Josh King didn’t go anywhere..
