Gav Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 (edited) Fulham are the best side in the division, we have the most injuries in the division. Battled well 2nd half but this threadbare squad is coming home to roost as many of us predicted before Christmas.Β The owners had an opportunity to push the club forward, they failed to do that, no ambition and we are where we are.Β Edited March 5, 2022 by Gav 5 Quote
superniko Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 We have the best run in out of all 24 teams in the league, let alone our rivals.Β 11 games and only 2 top 10 teams (one of which are 10th) 10 of 11 games against teams placed 10th or worse in the league.Β Itβs ours to throw away now.Β Iβll start screaming and sweating when we throw away our matches against Reading, Bristol City etc.Β For perspective, we play 46 games in a season and that is our toughest match (on paper).Β 2nd half we were decent, a Kaminski shocker (again) cost us, although this time weβd have lost anyway.Β Iβm still fuming about the Sheff Utd match!! 2 Quote

Yes, but a Luton win dents Middlesbro's push. There are enough negatives without us going looking for more. We will be in the top six tonight. Sorry if that disappoints... 2 Quote

Miller11 Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Didnβt expect anything here, but we were the architects of our own downfall today. Two really poor goals to gift them. They are a horrible side. When players dive that much I just wish one of our players would send one of them off on a stretcher. Ref was at best unforgivably inconsistent and weak. Pickering was awful, particularly in the first half. Nobody really covered themselves in glory. Dolan tried, Gallagher looked decent until it came to actually doing the job of a centre forwardβ¦ he was unlucky with the chalked off goal though. Johnson and JRC really sloppy to give away such a cheap offside. Our January business looks more horrific by the week. Unless we get some/all of Nyambe, Brereton and Dack back soon, our season will peter out into nothingness very quickly. 4 Quote

The manager was priced out of those deals Booth, the owners could have made those deals happen in my opinion, Jack wouldnβt have missed out. Quote

1864roverite Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 I just donβt see any further progression for this season and I donβt believe that we are capable of sustaining a play off spot challenge. Injuries and mistakes are killing the season 1 Quote

Sheff United and QPR still have to play eachother twice. Our record against bottom half teams this season is as good as anyone's. Today was poor and the last month has been but a generous Run of fixtures to comeΒ 2 Quote

Riverside under the drip Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Dolan my MOTM. Willing to be fair and admit that having Gallagher on for Khadra did somehow work well. He still looked pretty talentless but somehow the ball bounced in the right direction from our point of view. Not his fault his goal got chalked off. A decent outing. Not too angry about losing as Fulham were excellent value but what grates is the idea that we can't be expected to compete with a promotion-chasing side even though we're chasing promotion as well. Other sides have done it. We beat Bournemouth. Why not? If only we had a real striker to head in Giles' crosses. Ho hum on we go... Quote

Popular Post martonrover Posted March 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2022 Our January business was poor, and I blame that on Mowbray, not the owners. He signed players we didnβt really need, (eg Hedges), Β and failed to address the most obvious, pressing need, namely a centre forward. Mowbray is quoted as saying that we had the opportunities to bring in a forward, but chose not to. Three goals in eleven league games. Predictably pathetic. 10 Quote

Until the management team - not the ownership - can work out how to generate significantly more money then we will never be able to financially compete whether we have Venkys, an American billionaire, a Middle Eastern investment group or are fan owned.Β 2 Quote
