They don't care, think about the prestige of owning the most successful town team ever, one of only a handful of clubs to be Premier League champions etc etc etc they have dismantled the ladies team just as they have the mens team.

If (as we've read before) saving face and not being seen to be "losers" in Indian society is their credo, they are making a very poor job of it!

Does anyone know if there is any media coverage of their poor performance (football wise) in the Indian media?

Yes, poor comms from the club, they should have shared the position / challenge.

Now, the 'Supporters Coalition' has called for action, presumably many don't want to see the team disappear.

So perhaps the middle ground would be if there is a big jump in the costs, then the club could match whatever extra 'raise' through extra season tickets etc.  People understandably want to rally around, so let them.

Club shop in town centre costs too much - shut it down

Matchday programme costs too much - get rid

Home fans in Darwen End / BBE upper tier - close them down

Radio Rovers / Rovervision cost too much - shut down

Academy and Brockhall sites cost too much - attempt to shut down but can't be done easily / on the cheap and too much red tape to deal with so leave for now

Ewood shop / Blues Bar - start to shut down, reduced opening days and times and doing their utmost to discourage people from going with incentives to stay away from the Ewood site

Women's team - costing too much - what happens next?

Why stop there? Mens and reserve/youth teams don't make money either. Any reason for keeping those going? It isn't to benefit the town or fanbase that's for sure or they'd make some effort with it.

Get rid of Sam Allardyce as manager  get a cheaper one in ..Within their first 6 weeks in charge .

Nothing changes but yet some fans think they are the dogs bollocks !

Absolute managed decline due in large part to the imbeciles they pay to run the club who do not have and never will have the experience or gumption to take it in any other direction but shrinkage.

Voluntarily relegating yourself. The kind of thing you see at fourth tier rugby because it’s too much travel and expense for an amateur operation.

But the absolute antithesis of professional sport.

Horrible, short-sighted decision and a sign of the penny pinching things to come this summer with regards to transfer dealings for the men's squad
