So what's the latest with Duncan McGuire

I’m guessing Niall Ennis stretched and ripped the last of the shirts so he can’t sign

Or the Adam Wharton money was used to pay his canteen bill

Got to feel for McGuire. Should have just signed for Wednesday instead of giving us a second chance.

Still, I'm sure he'll be well up for signing a pre-contract for the summer 🙄

Just waiting for us to release Greg's clip from last year saying mistakes are made but it definitely won't happen again, with any mentions of "Lewis O'Brien" dubbed over with audio of Gregg saying "Duncan McGuire".

As was previously communicated by the club, Rovers will fly over to the United States over the coming weeks to try to conclude a pre-contract agreement with Orlando City, so that the 23-year forward can officially become a Rovers player in the summer.

Time for some pay back Duncan, tell them you’re not interested just as the flight sets off from Manchester.

That will teach the clowns 👍🏻

Isn't this the exact stunt they played with Brierly(sp)?

"Sign him, cock up the paperwork, get a pre-contract deal and then watch as they go literally anywhere else)"

It's like they're doing it deliberately to pretend that they're still ambitious.

More money wasted on a completely hopeless appeal

Not a legal appeal like last time to my knowledge so won't incur the same cost. Plus we brought in 18.5m on deadline day without any transfer fees out!

There ain’t no chance in hell that Venky’s are shelling out relative big bucks on any deal - let alone a pre contract agreement. Yet more nonsense from the club.

Poor lad should steer clear.

We aren't sure if GB is still in situ or if we'll even continue with the DoF/Head Coach structure. So he may not even be a target if we are completely changing structure (again).

It's an absolute mess.

One thing is for sure, Waggott has assured us that there's money without the Wharton sale to keep the club running. So we should have that inevitable warchest this summer *ahem*

It's one thing messing up the signing. It's another being classless about it. In the statement today and the previous one from the club, they do not apologise to the player, Orlando, the representatives of both and to us fans. Manners cost nothing (which you'd think would be ideal for our club at the moment) but they seemingly can't afford to use them. Rotten from the top.

MANNERS MAKETH MAN ...but ........

Plus the new manager may not even want the player

Exactly.

however, we will probably continue with a DOF providing the players and employing a coach rather than a manager.

For me…… give me a manager with vast experience of the championship and let him pick his own players to play in his style.

That though, doesn’t fit in with a club still fixed on primarily developing young players and selling them as quickly as possible. That’s a flawed model.

We are not much use at pre contracts either.

Duncan dodged a bullet.

To deflect from this shambles BOOGate will go into overdrive.
