i doubt any of the senior players will be here next season,smzodics will be off at the first sign of anyone being interested,so will tronstadt,gallagher,dolan and s wharton,the loans will be going back as well,god alone knows who will be playing for us next season🤒

They are right to a certain extent, unless its an open ended contract in which case there is no end date specified. However what they are not taking in to context is that by not appearing for your duties you are breaching the contract and therfore are open to legal recourse, sure in the case pressented JDT could refuse to having his contract "paused" in which case Rovers can sue JDT for breach of contract that could cost him pottentially millions of pounds, especially when Rovers would have grounds of trying to find a solution.

It's quite clear that if he asked to go, and they wouldn't let him, then he's bound by contract or he'd be away.

I'm not sure why people are debating this.

It's also easy to work out what happened.

He got us to within a whisker of the play offs.
They told him the project had changed.
He asks if he can leave as this isn't what he signed up for.
They shit themselves and say no. A manager leaving the club on a relative high would be strange and raise questions.

Like the cowards they are the allowed the situation to decline till he was dragged down with them.

A dof who has been given a league one budget and has had the rug pulled from under him at least twice 

He was making bids for players on Wednesday now he would not have been doing that if he hadn't have some agreement beforehand

JDT didn't namecheck Broughton, I'm not even arguing about Broughton's ability, if you think he is shit fine  but he would only be replaced by similar or worse (like going back to when we couldn't get any of our players to sign new contracts)

Same with Waggott, we had Derek Shaw before him who next.

If " yer man " really wants to leave, he needs to be a little more robust about matters ... He could simply pack up his things and resign, at which point the owners could try and sue him for not fulfilling his contract.

His response should then be " OK, see you in Court ", at which point he would then be obliged to reveal the promises made to him about the support he was promised, in terms of transfer funds, retaining players etc. The other Rovers staff and owners would be called as witnesses under oath, at which point the Venkys would quickly settle " out of court ", or drop any case, to avoid having to reveal financial details or details of their Indian Court issues. The alternative would be for him to resign, and then bring a " Constructive Dismissal " case against the Club, again citing mental stress, family issues, loss of reputation etc that were caused by the false promises given by the owners and/or Senior members of the BRFC management ..

Where the fuck has the bite gone from the likes of JRC, Wharton and Hyam (our captain ffs) it's time to bring the stalwarts in Fleck and McFadz in now. 

Waiting for Brittain and Hedges won't matter a flying fuck if there's no ones heart in it.

In the current state of dissaray, we've time to change things up but waiting for something to happen could really bite us on the arse.
