Darwen Rover 007 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Utterly disappointing... the result of trying to hold onto a 1.0 lead with 30 mins to go!

Poor festive period and my fears about TM becoming too negative when the pressure is on appear to be justified on the basis of today and the Scunthorpe game.
SoldierMo Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Clueless mowbray same old always fearing the opposition
Gogger Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Clueless referee and a clueless manager. Played well, and wasnt under any pressure until Mowbray co*ked this up for us. Samuel cant play up front alone, cant handle a football alone in the park, let alone under pressure from a defender.
Backroom Tom Posted January 1, 2018 Backroom Posted January 1, 2018 So unbeaten in 13 - or alternatively 1 win in 4; that's never going to be good enough for a team wanting automatic promotion. Amazed the manager thought that was the way to win the game in the closing stages although I'm not there so welcome to be disagreed with with some more knowledge of the game Again a draw in isolation would be fine but we drew 2 of the last 3 before that and all the teams around us are winning.
barry_ Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 all you happy clappers supporting Mowbray can @#/? off If he had anything about him he would resign. He's not good enough.

Got to agree Mowbray was too negative at the end of last season which cost us massive..

January business needs to be done sooner rather than later. Another 1-1 at best today I've seen too much in life. Should have put money on it
Doug Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I'd have taken a point before the game so not too disappointed. 21 games left, still all to play for.
Lihamylly Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 23 minutes ago, Tom said: Yep I'd class it as 4 points dropped in those games rather than 2 gained when you consider in one we missed an open net and a penalty and the other we gifted them 2 goals after leading twice. Open to interpretation of course Make it 6 pts now...:(
G Somerset Rover Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 1 win in 4 just ain’t going to cut it with the top two in such consistent form. Looking more and more likely that it will be the play-offs unless we bring in a few decent players and Mowbray grows a pair.
West Yorks Rover Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Unbeaten runs are ok as you're winning, draws are next to useless when it's 3 points for a win. What's that now, W 8 D6, that's Bowyeresque

AAK Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 If Shrewsbury beat us and we go 8 behind do peoole think thats that? Depends who we sign imo
Backroom DE. Posted January 1, 2018 Backroom Posted January 1, 2018 If only we could keep a clean @#/?ing sheet. Wigan and Shrewsbury gain points on us again, because they both know how to defend. They held onto their 1-0's, we didn't, and nobody should be surprised. That's what we do, we concede goals. Time to figure out why we can't defend and sort it out whilst we have the chance, although I'm sure soon the usual suspects will be telling us that the playoffs are superb and we'll win them no problem so stop worrying about automatic promotion.
Stuart Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Mowbray has to take full responsibility for today’s result. As soon as he brought on Ward for Graham he was both inviting pressure and weakening the team. Not acceptable. With EVERY other team around us winning it’s been a really bad day at the office. And frankly, I’m getting sick of reading folk (mainly on Fb) blindly saying “but we’re unbeaten and third”. It’s the old “we’re not in the bottom three what are we worried about” mentality. We could remain unbeaten now until the end of the season and miss out on the play-offs. Mowbray needs to sort this out quick before we are too far out of it.
LDRover Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 No point bringing players in in January when the manager continually shites himself in games.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Just now, Tom said: 1-1 Sitting back and bringing on that extra defender didn't work It rarely does.
Backroom Tom Posted January 1, 2018 Backroom Posted January 1, 2018 Pivotal that goal could be! (Went a bit Yoda there) If we won we would be welcoming Shrewsbury to Ewood knowing a win would take us above them, they would have been nervous. Now they come knowing we can't go above them but they can go 8 clear of us, the whole picture has changed and the pressure is fully on us now. Bottle that game and it's a mountain to climb again
Garage Flower Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Thrown far too many wins away this season. 4 points thrown away in 2 games. Fair enough today Mowbray got his sub wrong but it isn’t his fault Bennett can’t clear a ball and Dack his the post. The players have let themselves down past 2 games. Long way to go yet. Gotta be Shrewsbury at home next league game.
chaddyrovers Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Disappointed result but its a point. 21 games and plenty to play for. Need a couple of signings before next league game. Not a fan of Ward coming on. Would have brought on Whittingham or Tomlinson. But I still Mowbray to get us promote

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Really hope we are not about to hit a bad patch this second half of the season. Balaji bling....get yer cash out and strengthen this side...do something right for f'kin once!
RevidgeBlue Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Just now, Doug said: I'd have taken a point before the game Why? We're not going to challenge for automatic promotion by drawing games. Unless we get to the point where we are ten points clear and have earned ourself a little leeway every game is effectively a "must win".
Husky Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Mowbray is too negative for automatic promotion. Play offs here we come. Though it's worrying that we only look one player away from finishing 8th-10th.
