v Bristol City (a) - 20/11/21 (& local info for those heading to the gate, from a Bristol City follower)

1-1 is okay but a disappointing result. Mowbray's subs bizarre today.

Travis should have been taken off instead of Davenport as he was really poor today, and Dolan should have been brought on for Khadra at some point as Khadra faded as the game wore on.

Rothwell and Nyambe clearly affected by the contract talks as they were both really poor today. If contracts can't be resolved by January then I would say move them on and bring in replacements.

Take the point but we were second best most of the game. Could easily have been 3-1 Bristol. On one side of the coin, very disappointed in our play. Khadra and poveda did very little to start and really weaken our ability to defend. On the other side, to play that poorly and pick up a point has to be seen as a positive.

playing Ayala from the start and hopefully Dolan and Rothwell on Wednesday should get us more balanced.

Get rid then. He's not exactly a world beater.

Outside of today he’s one of the defensive backs in this league. He struggles in attack and playing balls into the box. But it’s not like we have anyone behind him whose better. JRC has proven his health can’t be relied upon.

Brereton worked his socks off today.. he was everywhere. Also Kaminski had a good game. Ayala will be needed in coming games..

Rich Sharpe saying Ayala was outstanding. Diaz turning out to be a excellent signing & same goes for Kaminski.

He's the best we've got but that doesn't mean we can't do better.

Couldn't watch the game today, will catch on playback tomorrrow.

Seems like from the flow of the game and comments on here it was a classic case of our 4231/433 getting out muscled by their 343 until we matched up at half time when Ayala came on. Suddenly we became more competitive.

Will be interesting to see if thats the case when I watch back.

The performance was poor from attacking point of view. Not good enough. Brereton scoring agan tho was a good finish. Very surprised Dolan didn't come on.

The 3 centre backs of Lenihan, Ayala and Wharton made us more solid according Mark Atkins on Radio Lancashire. Proper good analysis of the game and performance of the players.

Shame for the player

Not a great game. Long throws and bully boy tactics, seemed to throw us off our stride. Thought we were slightly better second half but no more than 5/10 as an overall performance. Glad to escape with a point, as I thought we were going to draw a blank.

Big Ben rescued us again and great to see his goal tally, getting near to the 1000/1 odds, which shows how unexpected that was,
