Some things to take from it.

Dolan still isn't good enough.
Pickering still isn't good enough.
Travis still isn't good enough.
Ennis was puffing and panting after a few minutes.

We obviously need a striker.

Apart from those negatives, Tronstad looks a good signing and Markanday and Leonard scored.

If we could spend a decent amount on a good goalscorer and Sigurddsen hadn't got injured.

Still Ben Benson doing set-pieces I think. The role was advertised a while ago but not sure anyone's been appointed yet.

Judging by pre season, Ben Benson has just told them to take all corners short and try and dribble it into the box and JRC to go for goal with any central free kicks

One wonders if a certain A. Wharton would make a good dead ball specialist?

No wonder we've been crap on them for years.

Good effort from those who gave their time today,

Looked like it went well

Agreed, from an event perspective - there was a lovely atmosphere around the outside of the ground pre-game.

My 2 little lads had a good time joining in with a few bits - and 5k+ attendance is very respectable. Well done to all involved.

General thoughts at HT didn’t really change in the second. Decent performance and useful minutes in the legs.

Optimistic about Markanday and Leonard, think they’ll both be useful players this season.

Sigurdsson, Wharton and a proper striker in that side and we’re rattling around the upper reaches of midtable.

That game was a reasonable watch, against a good side who were for the most part, comfortable under pressure and good on the break. Dolan looks like he is playing at a level just above where he should be.

Headless chicken. No loss if he doesn't sign the contract extension. Somebody might even pay a fee to get him.

No post-match comments from our Head Coach? Or is it too soon? Usually see some activity in my feed by now.

Last I heard BRFCS and RoversChat were doing the post match interviews… so god knows.

Unlike some comments who reckon we were rubbish, I disagree, I thougt it was a decent workout for Rovers. Leonard and Markanday on the score sheet, it  will do there confidence a World of good. I thought Ennis looked the business when he came on, and he gave the Spanish defence a few problems at times. somebody mentioned he was slow, they forget he's just recovered from injury, I can see him scoring goals for Rovers. We were unlucky not to level it at 3-3 with a couple of decent chances that just went wide. Dont forget we were playing decent opposition, who beat Real Madrid 4-2  and Sheffield United 2-0.

I thought Ennis showed a decent burst of pace for the one chance he had - though I was on the other side of the JW, so saw it from afar.

Got a good reception during warm up and when he came on, the few minutes he had wouldn’t have done any harm at all.

Leonard did ok and I wasn't disappointed with most but thought Pickering had a bad day against a talented side. Got a bit non-friendly at times especially with Travis trying to prove a point. Its not that he gets in good positions it more that with the game the ball ends up with him. Then his lack of quality lets us down. His tap to goal in first half should have been smashed in.

Good effort. Enjoyed ".....four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancashire". Well done Miller11.

Good point on the music - some of it was bob-on.

The Beatles song just before KO didn’t really fit though for me. Get the reference, but it’s really not a pre-match tune.

Overall, a lot better than usual though.

The music went disastrously despite our (my) best efforts. They didn’t bother playing anything til way too late. This is what it was supposed to look like…

The playlist and instructions weren’t followed.
