For the next four hours I'm going to pretend we're a normal club that will give it a right good go and I'll let myself get my hopes up.

However my head says a limp 2-0 defeat with other results going our way. BBD to score

I think BBD is out with a sickness ?

No nerves here because I still have no expectations or little hope, if we do it it will be a great surprise.

Last year was the opposite, I had knots in my stomach because of what could have and nearly did happen!

If I was a betting man I think we’ll draw and miss out by the skin of our teeth again

Or, Where would we be with those two still here?

Well one thing is certain with games under their belts for us they'd both be worth more than they were sold for.

I’m off up to my sons shortly.to watch the game. Then at 2-25 it’s dashing off in a taxi up to the ground to see my Rugby League team play. Normally they play on Sundays but today of all days it’s a 3-00pm Saturday KO ! Let’s hope I’m not phoning for a taxi before the final whistle in our game.

Just seen a mini bus with Rovers fans in near City centre, wish I was going now 😤

Woke up feeling confident about the game.

Was having a quiet drink in the garden when a robin came and landed on the garden wall and stayed there for a good minute or so.  That sealed it for me so lumped on Rovers at 9/4 - don't let me down boys!

I thought it was a Sunday kick-off, so last minute re-arrangements made.

Nervous, with low expectations.  I just can't see us getting past United today.

In the end, the DNA level connection to this wonderful old club of ours just does that to you - it's physical, emotional, spiritual and (a lot of the time) simply mystical.

I hope your nerves are calmed by the professionalism of a decent Rovers performance this lunchtime. Mine too 🙂

COYB!

Sheffield have rotated but still have a top team out.

The big one is that they’ve rested Cooper in net, he’s been very good for them.

Wasn't expecting so many changes. Great stuff. Thanks, Chris.

Sheff Utds team was always going to be strong, regardless of the players they've rested.

Massive game, we've just gotta do our bit and see where we end up!

Decent shift in odds post-team news. Bristol City on a mega drift and are now odds-against versus PNE at 2.02. Sheffield United now 2.42 to win which has drifted too.

Rovers chances of Top 6 got very slightly better - got to do our job and win and hope for the best still!!

Problem is everyone who could start on the left ahead of Hedges isn't fit or is just returning from injury, and we don't want to change formation on a winning run. If Kargbo only has 30 mins in him then you want him running at a tired defence, because if he's got half a yard on the fullback he can run riot.

I've no idea how fit Kargbo, Dennis or Gueye are, but I have to admit it's bloody heartening to look at the bench and see a whole competent replacement front line there, I can't really remember the last time we could say that.
