Backroom DE. Posted July 12, 2013 Backroom Posted July 12, 2013 The only sensible poster that slags of Hanley is DE. and he slags off most things these days. Hanley got quite a lot of votes on here for Player of the Season. harsh pal... maybe i'm just jaded... an angry, bitter man at the end of his rope. I saw Hanley play multiple times last year and every time he looked like a donkey. He had a brief spell in the PL where he looked decent but I just haven't seen the same from him since then. I'm critical in my assessments but it's only because I expect high standards ... I should probably revise that considering the state of the club though

Waggy76 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Doesn't look like Spearing is coming after all, I can see us making do with what we've got for next season which is disappointing. Looking very likely , also Dann and Rhodes must be doubtful by Sept 2nd .. I don't rate much at all but he is on big money and will go if we get any type of monetary offer ... Rhodes , if he goes we go down ! Simples .
neophox Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Rochina is still with Rovers despite what unleaded revealed..... I really hope he stays.

Clitherover Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Rhodes and Rochina would be a deadly strike duo. Shame Rochina is probably off to Elche on loan for the season.
Lie_still_Rover Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I don't think Bowyer will let him go judging by today's telegraph
roverslee Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 its all gone quite on the in comings, have we paid a fee for anyone yet ?
rovers11 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I don't think Bowyer will let him go judging by today's telegraph I agree he won't go because bowyer wants him to go. I have a suspicion the player wants to go back to Spain and may try and force a move. Also looks as though spearing won't be joining which is a shame. He won't go with Bowyers blessing. Boner Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Rhodes and Rochina would be a deadly strike duo. R'n'R the new SAS?
bob fleming Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Short memories. This love in for Rochina is truly worrying. Not. Good. Enough.
bluebruce Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I don't think Bowyer will let him go judging by today's telegraph Bowyer also said it would take a very big offer to get Olsson though. 2.5 million is not particularly big. I don't think he has much control over the outgoings, but probably has license to say things which would bump the price up. Short memories. This love in for Rochina is truly worrying. Not. Good. Enough. Disagree. His goals to games return was pretty respectable last season, and some of those were off the bench. Inconsistent, frustrating player, yes. Needs playing a certain way though and fruits can be seen for certain. I just think he's an option I'd love to retain at the club.
Baz Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I think we were desperate for the cash from Olsson, in order to bid for Spearing.
bob fleming Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Disagree. Fair play, I know I'm in the minority here. I think i've seen enough though. Not quite got it. Yes he's only young but he's a luxury. I was expecting good things this past season from him, but sorry, he's no Matt Jansen. Not even a Hignett. A nothing player really. Did a fantastic step over or three though.
Neil Weaver Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Short memories. This love in for Rochina is truly worrying. Not. Good. Enough. Well said Bob. Another one who seems to have become a world beater by not playing for us for a while. Other examples include Kalinic.
Backroom Tom Posted July 13, 2013 Backroom Posted July 13, 2013 Matt Derbyshire was much the same, he was twice the player when he didnt feature
Majiball Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Well said Bob. Another one who seems to have become a world beater by not playing for us for a while. Other examples include Kalinic. Like Kalinic I see them both as players who weren't used properly. He's no worldie but he has flair and no one else does at Rovers, it's needed for our (the fans) ambitions.
Clitherover Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Short memories. This love in for Rochina is truly worrying. Not. Good. Enough. I see where you are coming from here Bob, but my worry is if Rochina goes will he be replaced by a better alternative?. We've all seen what he's capable of from time to time and surely it's better to have him in the team than not have him in the team with no replacement.

Majiball Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 To paraphrase someone else this week: Labore et Labore How true.
RevidgeBlue Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 In my view it's vital we keep Rochina and use him as the focal point of our attacking impetus sat just behind Rhodes. Window isn't shut yet by any means but our recruitment is this summer starting to look a little disappointing. Nothing wrong with the acquisitions of Judge and Taylor taken as a whole, but as our only main signings you would have to say it wouldn't be enough. Seemingly also we can't now afford 1.75m for Spearing without unloading Olsson and it looks like we're going to have lost Olsson without bringing Spearing in as reading between the lines he doesn't fancy the move. Somewhat reminiscent of life under the Walker Trust when we missed out on targets like Lewandowski (sp?) and Jelavic through lack of financial support, but I guess the reality is the wild spending excesses of last summer and the FFP regulations had to come back to bite us at some point. If no-one else comes in, losing Rochina would make it a very poor window imo. If he stays and there are no more key departures then we should still have enough for a play off push at least imo.

We've all seen what he's capable of from time to time and surely it's better to have him in the team than not have him in the team with no replacement. Is it? Three or four step-overs before launching a shot into row z? That's the reality of it more often than not. Get him out on loan, if he bangs in shed loads of goals and / or gets rave reviews at that Spanish club then we might have a player on our hands, alternatively if he completes a hat trick of relegations.... I know I'm in the minority here so will leave it at that.

SoldierMo Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Rovers linked with 20year old Bulgarian Todor Nedelev
Guest Norbert Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 This is Todor's Wiki page. Probably linked with Leeds too, as that popped up as I typed his name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Todor_Nedelev http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/todor-nedelev/profil/spieler_217593.html No idea who he is, but worth a look at least.
