DavidMailsTightPerm
Getting excited now - just about to set off - lets hope for a good game, a few goals, and most important a win. Would like to see O'Sullivan given a chance to start - but with GB you never know.

G Somerset Rover
Hoped to see O'Sullivan and Tomlinson at least involved in the squad. Other than that it's not a bad line-up all considered.

AspRover
That reads like a straight 442, Rhodes and the Fonz up front with a midfield partnership of Lowe and Guthrie. Unless the Fonz can put a decent shift in a either a winger or a more defensive forward that seems a bit fragile in the middle, but we shall see! First game optimism, let's get a lot of service to Rhodes and watch him get a couple to open the season.

Geste Poor old Josh King still can't get a look in!In other news, Kilgallon dropped for Hanley? Bowyer showing once again that he still has learned nothing. chaddyrovers
I expect it to be 4-2-3-1 formation as we played all pre season. 4-4-2 is plan B
OJRovers
442? Good thing we've been playing 4321 all pre-season then...
Backroom DE. Posted August 8, 2015 Backroom Share Posted August 8, 2015 Hanley is still captain, so he was always going to start if fit. Imagine that team if Rhodes is sold and Guthrie and/or Marshall is injured...
Proudtobeblue&white
Well, here I am again, wondering why summer has decided to start on the very same day we attempt another assault on the Championship. The personnel has changed slightly, but my expectations are lower than ever. Doesn't hurt as much that way. Come on GB, prove us wrong? Just COYB's! Blueandwhitemike
Delphouneso played left wing vs Wigan, did okay, would have thought o Sullivan would be on the bench as a proper winger, still plenty in that side to see off wolves, 2-1 rovers
Stuart
Is radio rovers working on Rovers Player, I currently have silenceYeah, sorry about that. Gerald just tried to stoke up the crowd by asking each stand in turn to make some noise. He must have been on the JW stand when you tuned in.Other than that, it's great so see all the familiar faces around us have renewed for another season of pain and misery fun and excitement. But what the heck is this music they're now playing?

bluebruce
Come off it Rev. How many times does Rhodes get the ball with a clear run at goal and still get dispossessed because he doesn't have the pace to outrun the defence. He needs the ball close to goal or a deep lying defence. Exactly. Several examples of Jordan Rhodes getting clear runs at goal and failing to put it away... Disclaimer - I might be lying and this might include numerous examples of him running at goal and smashing it in. There might also be some evidence of how crap he is with his head on the end of a cross, or this could also be @#/? and you might see him scoring more with his head than Chris Brown's career total. mustard
5 mins in and Rhodes has already ran the channels and whipped in a good ball, beat the defender in the air, dogged defenders and ran a player to smash against the post. Everything people say he doesn't do.
Backroom Tom Posted August 8, 2015 Backroom Share Posted August 8, 2015 Lack of pace meant Rhodes coudlny get a 1 on 1 but he hit a superb effort against The post So so unlucky
