Trying my best to ignore the Twitter brigade saying the numbers were tiny, it was embarrassing, we cost Rovers the game etc etc.

So many inconsistencies there, but reading it just upsets and winds me up. I genuinely can't even be bothered reasoning with them, it's enough to make you wan to give up.

The main one peddling that is a brown tonguer of the blog man and another anonymous no mark wum who quickly gets personal with some from the safety of his/her bedroom. Very easy to ignore and even shouted down by other teams fans.

Never give up Sambo today was a success and you've done your bit. The fact a minority are getting so precious about it shows it was big enough to make an impact.

There seemed to be a bit of pro-Venky's propaganda fed to the sky studio team as well.

Mentioned a number of times was the 'fact' that Venkys had bankrolled the club to the tune of £30m per year. Seemingly forgetting the fact that it was Venkys and their man who gave our current players new contracts and purchased players that the income of the club couldn't support.

Proud of the protestors. Feels like step one on a new journey.

Only saw a little bit - but they (Sky) did highlight the £30m black hole in in-comings and outgoings.

Just got home after the best day I've had at Rovers for a long time.

I thought the protest was heartfelt, passionate and, more importantly, successful. People took notice which is the whole point of it.

I can't understand anyone disapproving. I have been boycotting this season but I bet that was the best atmosphere at Ewood so far.

The DE concourse was a great place to be and made me miss the days when this sort of atmosphere was generated by the excitement of football rather than the need for protest.

I think we can kick on from here and get more people involved and eventually get our club back.

Well done everyone.

Match was pretty dire but you can't have everything!

Didn't protest myself, but respect the views of those who did.

It was more impressive and had more participants than I imagined.

I sit in the riverside, and did hear some boos, most round me where saying "why boo?". One kid near me did boo, he's probably only 13 so I'll tread easily, but he does seem like a moron in training.

As for the game, another two points dropped. Needed that second goal, the Gallagher goal was a stunner, but he really should have made it 2-0 and goodnight Vienna.

Absolutely; ignore the keyboard warrriors. Great effort Sambo and all the other protestors.

Funny how some people against protesting come out with this I'm only going to support the team stuff. Well there was no support for the first 18 minutes just fans sat in total silence. So what are they actually doing to "support" the team by sitting there in a semi comatose state? Not one chant or bit of encouragement for the team. A half hearted murmur for a great goal perhaps.

As long as they can sit there in total silence on their high horse pouring scorn on fans actually trying to do something then at least the super fan status can remain intact. Some fans really do deserve the Venkys and all the bad things that have and will happen.

Well said, never really experienced this so called 'support the team' attitude either... A go to response from a deluded section of the fanbase but I suppose most of us know its a reponse frequented by the more moronic section of BRFC fans... If the protests continue frequently these are the sort of fans that are so fickle that within 4-5 games they will be on the side of protesting because they're unable to think for themselves... Thats an opinion based on recent experiences by the way but there will be a few exceptions i guess... Either out of stubbornness or sheer belief.

i think yesterday was the turning point, not a whimper out of the crowd till the protesters arrived, must be every protester sings and game watchers watch.the next demo has to be very well organised, and more to the point, some one left a hint on the.re way out on the 75 minute

I'm not fussed whether people agree or not - I don't need a tin hat, and this is nothing but my opinion;

Why whistles? And why throw things on the pitch?

From a tv spectator position - I felt the protest put us in a good light UNTIL these two things happened.

Why do it? IMO Doesn't do anything but paint the whole group in a bad light. It doesn't remind people of the reasoning, it doesn't help to spread the message, it simply grates all other spectators and makes the game harder to watch and play.

Surely there are better ways.

Would be genuinely suprised if I'm the only one who thinks this. Wouldnt be suprised if someone like Willy turns on the WUM tap either, so if people can't take my opinion id suggest some level of therapy.

What better ways can you think of ?

Well for a starter - I don't think it was needed but maybe if they'd specifically said a minute to blow them rather than sporadically.

The main outcome of this action was a trickier game to manage and play. The outcomes we want are (correct me if I'm wrong) national media coverage and recognition for the cause of highlighting poor ownership?

Thought you were against whistles

I said "they paint us in a bad light" and "I don't think it was needed" but suggest a way that would make more sense and this is your response?

Content, not poster.

With the BBC NW tonight, Daily Telegraph, the pre match on Sky and a few other things - I felt the protest was seen as positive, applauded and most importantly - understood.

I think any neutral fan watching would've been "annoyed" by the blowing, and more likely thought that action was pointless.

Most on here are elated by yesterday's events so, of course, you have to come along and focus on some tiny issue you feel is negative.

It's you who needs the therapy, an attention seeker who could argue with himself in a phone booth.

Who gives a @#/? about these people?

Protesting is about getting people to agree, join in and make a difference right?

Like many, can't take opinion unless it echoes "the hive brain". Why don't you put me on ignore and save the rest of the people who use this site the chance to avoid reading the "non opinion" content you specialise in?
