Absolute shambles. If there is such clear doubt it should have been called off before. 45 minutes before kick off would be embarassing and piss poor.

Dear God. After the Hull debacle, we’ll have a lot to answer for here if it’s cancelled this late. You simply cannot say at 1230 that it’s going ahead and then do another inspection at 2.15.

To be fair the pitch is the referees domain when it comes to postponements but I can't understand why it's such a late decision unless the referee isn't happy about the amount of snow still on the pitch.

The point is they told everyone the game was definitely on an hour ago. Plenty will have travelled on that basis. If there was always an element of doubt remaining they should have said. Terrible comms from Rovers.

Would the ref definitely have been there at 12pm for the first inspection?

Is there a chance that the ref has made the call to have another inspection at short notice and not Rovers.

Is that the ref? You have thought any pitch inspection would include him?

Is that Waggot telling him we can’t afford to waste all the pies?

Just seen a video on twitter of around 30-40 Bolton staff and stewards clearing the snow off the pitch. It is pretty much clear now. Proper hands to the pump effort with everyone mucking in.

Rovers on the other hand……..

Like this you mean?
