The standard is shocking here from both sides; that passage of play with JRC and Bannan summed it up

But Venkys are paying the bills Tom, we should be grateful….

I worked this out yesterday and removing his goals put us on (I think) 35 points.

Of course this doesn’t take into account the influence of the rest of his game.

Good work.

I'm surprised it's that many.

IMO, Pears will cost us at least 10 goals a season and countless points.

Sadly, the shambolics of Leo make Pears look good in the eyes of the naive and gullible.

I can't remember anyone on here all season saying Pears is a good keeper, just that he is leagues better than Leo. You have made a bit of a starwman argument there.

Why?

Two very poor teams but Wednesday are utter dross.

Lumped on Rovers at 8/5 and also stuck £20 on 3-1 to Rovers at 10/1.

You've said it yourself---2 poor teams so either can win.

Don't see how anyone can place any blame whatsoever on Pears for that. He makes a perfectly acceptable headed pass to Hyam who loses it.

The latter seems to be on a one man mission to send us down.

If Hyam is in a position where his only available option is to kick it into the stands, then it isn't an acceptable pass is it? Pears could just have easily headed it into the stands and the problem vanishes completely.

Pears' decision making is awful at the best of times, he just gets away with it because he has a good game every so often and Wahlstedt wasn't ready. Though I agree that Hyam has had a few stinkers recently.

Its not an exact science though is it... If you went back and told everyone on this board that Szmodics would not only replace Diazs goals but more than double them then the pitch forks would be out.

Its very hard to predict what happens.

Spot on.

Wahlstedt does that and people go into meltdown.

Pears needs replacing next season or we’ll keep seeing the same errors.

Quite the opposite.

Hyam does that and it's "Pears" fault.

If "Leo" was in nets it'd be Hyam's fault.
