I'm not sure if the clown noticed but we had a 'magnificent' chance today. Also given where we were when he became manager I'm not sure I'd be using the word magnificent when talking about scrapping to stay in the league. That rather says it all about his standards and ambitions.

I’d like to shove his book of cliches right up his…

This group cannot handle pressure. Simply they cannot handle the pressure of being behind. The current and previous manager have been categorically unable to turn games around.

Recently we played very well against Leeds and Southampton, we never went behind. Equally we were absolutely atrocious against Sheff Wed and Bristol City, both teams that are equal if not of a lower standard but could find no way to turn up. Very, very worrying.

Got it in one. Score first and we’re ok. Go behind and it’s over.. once it went to 1-2 it was over. We have no self belief, desire, will to win. All the things you need to get back in a game.

A must not lose game to pretty much secure our championship position and Pears does that! Now the situation is perilous again. I just can’t believe how calamitous it was. It shouldn’t impact him as he’s a highly paid professional, but having 7400 fans in the away end behind him clearly doesn’t help matters. Nullifying whatever home advantage we had is utterly preposterous. It shows a complete lack of care and footballing insight. It’s one of a litany of atrocious decisions and errors since the O’Brien shambles and frankly we deserve relegation. I still suspect we will stay up and for a few days that will feel good, but then the runaway mine train that is Blackburn Rovers will continue to speed towards ruination. I feel so sad for my 6 year old son who wants to support his Dad’s team so badly, but he now prefers to just ignore what happens at the club because it’s clearly something that’s very difficult to get behind.

You can’t replace quality players with free transfers and loans from Premiership youth teams. If you do, the clubs heading for the lower leagues.

Zero transfer funding from the owners, you can’t replace Kaminsky and Diaz with a handful of magic beans.

Mistakes made again cost us today game. Simple as. Pears for the first goal and third goal, then Szmodics for second goal.

We got back into the game with a great finish by Szmodics and for rest of the half I thought we were fine.

Until Szmodics mistake I didn't see Sheff Wed scoring but I didn't see us scoring.

I would like to see Buckley on early before Sheff Wednesday scored their second and I thought Eustace was too slow with his triple subs.

It is still in our hands and we must beat Coventry on Saturday now for me. I don't want it to go the last day of the season

Wharton is on crutches post game actually.

where did this happen in the Blackburn End?

Yup

Another new low, another embarassing day, and another day where a useless manager in charge of shit players lacking bottle were massive symptoms of the owners and their total disinterest in their football club.

Eustace still cant win a home game, he attempted to play negative football, 5 defenders again and with absolutely no game plan as to how to attack, at home to second bottom.

Pears outdid himself today, still amazes me how people defended the decision to play him over Kaminski last season. Hes a waste of space.

Gallagher was crap yes, but probably gets a bit too much focus considering he was no worse than anyone else. Hyam is a pathetic captain, Carter repeatedly made stupid mistakes, Pickering never a wing back, Brittain soft as anything, Dolan awful again, the 2 midfielders usually 2 of our better players both terrible and Buckley again showing why he couldn't get a game at Wednesday.

What he said last week was to cover his arse with the supporters.

The subtext was “I’ve advised the owners to spend money”.

Does Broughton have any clout?

No.

The owners gave Broughton £1million and he spent it on Wahlstedt.

I always had a positive mindset to life but I don't go OTT when we win, draw or lose. I don't shout abuse at the players or boo them either.

Not even today after that spineless shit show ?

Do you think it was enough? We have lost the likes of:

Rothwell, Dack, Diaz, Lenihan, Kaminsky, Diaz, Wharton.

We gave them away.

Clearly under investment overall, but crucially awful investment of the small amounts we have spent, that is down to GB.

Also poor management of assets we did have. Who wouldn't swap Nyambe and Bell for the dross we have at full back now? both being criticised and frozen out.

Only 1 player in the starting XI from the last 2 transfer windows. Sums up Broughton's contribution to our current situation.

Gets away with harsh criticism because he’s behind Venkys, Suhail, Waggott, Silvestre in terms of competence, but still a joke that he holds such an important role at our club.

I just put myself through watching one of Pears early performances for us v Wigan, Jan 2022.

Commentator: "That's one of the worst 10 mins of goalkeeping I've seen in over 50 years of watching football."

So what did we do in the 2 years since? Make him our No 1. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
