Heinz Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Its also interesting that whenever we are a goal down, mowbrays substitutions absolutely make no sense in terms of formations or anything, the players no longer know what to do or where to play, everybody plays out of position and its a free for all hoping that something might happen, but usually it never does 3 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Mowbray I expected it but sadly thought you might have lucked your way to a formula, please enough is enough now 2 Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Maybe it will take him time to get fit and up to speed but so far Zeefuik has been poor in every game. Quote

Maphsa Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Said it after the Swansea game, we are absolutely desperate for Dack back in this team. I know it's unlikely he'll be the same as he was, but he definitely won't have lost that positioning and vision he had 1 Quote

Forest have been much the better team. Probably the only team except Fulham to come to Ewood and look clearly on top this season. Basically did us at our own game with the same system. We struggled to create anything much except when they gave the ball away. They regularly created decent chances. That said we played really well when we went down to 10, so credit there. Dolan was very good, Gallagher had some good moments. We rattled them. But we're in a tricky spot - the system that did us so well until Christmas now looks like it's been found out completely. Do we stick with it or change things? Not looking great. 3 Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Yup. Definitely the old sponsors logo has put the voodoo on my shirts. I think this is is where we will see who is up for the fight or not. if we don’t make the playoffs then half the team and the manager will be exit stage right at the end of the season. Total reset. OldEwoodBlue Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Possible silver lining is Ayala will be back in the side. Who's straw is this? 2 Quote
LDRover Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Last few weeks have served as a big dose of realism. Not freshening up the strikers is really going to hurt us I feel. Such a shame. 3 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 We need Dack back! Buckley, becoming one of the most frustrating players I’ve seen… Quote
RTM08 Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 I though that this one season we may have a chance, that something will change but no, same old garbage, same old death spiral. The only way Tony should get even a sniff of a new contract is if we make the play-offs. Get someone who isn't a complete bottle-job in. Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Let's face it Mowbray is a poor manager, what's more I don't think he wants us to get promoted, he's happy just to sit here in the Championship and keep topping up his pension fund. The owners are just happy to use us as a tax dodge. 3 Quote

booth Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Buckley needs some time out. He's been really poor. 8 Quote
RoverDom Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 8 points from 21 and 2 goals in 2022. We're not staring down the barrel of a death spiral. We're in the middle of one. This is why I wanted to wait to talk contracts for TM, to see if he'd got over this bizzare run of games he has in the second half of any season. He hasn't. Get rid in summer 4 Quote

davulsukur Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 We aren't even going to make the playoffs. Boro and Forest can both catch us in the next few games and have games in hand to aid their cause. We'll get some form back when it's too late and we'll be chasing the pack, ultimately falling short. Standard Mowbray, too little, too late. 9 Quote

Yep, this season since Fulham we are generally excellent at defending a lead. Problem is we aren't taking any. Hope this serves as a wakeup call because we have to address this quickly or even the playoffs will be a pipe dream. 1 Quote
