I know we are trying to play this "fluid attack" bollocks but we still need a striker who can hit the back of the net as far as I am concerned.

Miller11
Kaminski Phillips Hyam Ayala Buckley Edun Travis Morton Wharton Dack Hedges Presuming Brereton is gone and Hirst isn’t signed up in time.
JPTSwindon
If we are a striker light for tomorrow then I’d start Vale. I know he hasn’t really got going yet, but with game time he could yet deliver goals. Presuming we bring someone in, could be his last chance.

I have seen this formation played many a time. It is a formation that is very hard to break down. It is a system in which 8 of the outfield players are always involved in the game. the way we have been playing recently, with this fluid four up front, just means that those four forwards usually get isolated, and do not impact the game as much, leaving only six to deal with the opposition. I don't understand why you laughed at the formation, please explain. Edited August 31, 2022 by rigger

WacoRover
We haven’t scored in three games, and seemingly half the team will be missing out on this one. It’s time to see Tomasson’s coaching acumen shine, 1-2.

wanderingrover
Important game. We've lost 3 in a row without scoring, so I'd take a score draw to arrest both slides. Prediction is 1-1, Blackpool are tricky but as inconsistent than ourselves. Dolan to score for us - this is exactly the type of game he looks good in coming up against a cumbersome duo. I've always thought midweek games under new management are a good barometer of how quickly coaching ideals translate to the pitch. I've no concerns about JDT Saturday-Saturday but it's a different challenge when recovery and preparation is shortened. Very interested to see how we set up tonight...
