The Mighty Chaffinch
Need a win today given that the next three fixtures have not borne much fruit for us in recent times (Wigan away especially). I’d stick with the Wharton/Morton axis in midfield for the simple reason that it allows us to play out from the back in a purposeful way, as opposed to the nightmarish first half against Stoke where we dallied at the back as no one was demanding the ball in the centre of the park. Travis hasn’t got the ability to do that and I prefer Buckley playing further forward so it was always going to allow Stoke to swamp us. Cue the second half when Wharton showed for the ball every time which gives the back four a constant outlet. Couple this with Hyam’s ability to play out from the back (more so than anyone else we’ve got at the moment) and a feel that midfield is the perfect balance. I quite like Trav at right back. When he gets past his man he likes to surge forward and it seemed to create space for others on Wednesday. Put Hirst up top instead of Dolan but stick with the rest from Wednesday.

Devon Rover
Clearly suffering from an ongoing case of uncharacteristic optimism, I'm feeling worryingly upbeat about the game today. Will this wear off in 15 mins with team news, by half time, or full time, I wonder?!

Wing Wizard Windy Miller
About as strong as we can manage at the moment. Weak bench though - no goals on there.

superniko
2 games in a row that I agree with the starting 11! Some change from the Mowbray days when I’d often be scratching my head

Good at home though, the opposite to last season when they were terrible at home and good away.

davulsukur
Good starting 11. Pleased to see Wharton retain his place, no matter what happens today, he deserves the start. Lacking a bit of magic off the bench, no real game changers on there.
