I’m not sure who picks it to be honest.

I think the biggest issue at Ewood is that the PA system is absolutely knackered. In some areas of the ground it’s deafening, in others you can’t hear a thing, and sometimes it’s just unclear noise. They who supposedly never refuse a cheque should be tapped up to replace it.

How much would a new PA system cost?

For something that size I couldn’t even hazard a guess. There’d be a wide range of price options for sure.

Like most things in life, it would cost a lot less if it was properly maintained.

About the PA system, does it form any part of our emergency evacuation procedure or similar? I would have thought if it did it would have to be maintained and inspected as per the likes of emergency lighting and what have you...?

I presume any requirement would come under the conditions of the grounds safety certificate - probably under ‘communications and control’

Replace it then turn it down from 11.

You can't hold a conversation at Ewood when the music is playing - there's just no need.

Ask Huddersfield who did their p a system and get the same one, it's clear as a bell.

It's simple enough

Part of my job. Easily sorted.  Might cost  few quid but hey!

Original sound system. Was designed & installed by Romers.  I knew the MD.

When Jack was still with us it was maintained regularly.  Nothing's been done in years.  It"s f**kd

Put in a quote for the job. I am sure if you need any labour there are people on this board who would give a bit of their time to assist you. I will, I am not a media specialist, but I have been an engineer all my career, how hard can it be.

Season ends on a low note.

Time passes....

The club announce pre-season programme of friendlies against Mill Hill St Peters and the Havelock Inn.

...

Clutching at straws, as a fan who "collects" away grounds, that'd suit me!!

Think this will be a score draw. I can see Millwall being quite nervy. Rovers with nothing to lose at this point because its arguably already been lost for this season. I can see a scenario where BBD doesn't feature to avoid himself getting injured before his move. If Gallagher is fit then I'd go with this team.

Pears

JRC, Carter, Hyam, Pickering

Travis, Wharton

Szmodics

Dolan, Gallagher, Hedges

At best about a 1in 7 chance of making the playoffs and about a 3% chance of making it to the PL. This is based on a very optimistic 1 in 3 probability of winning at Millwall and the two other teams having a 2 in 3 probability of failing to win which also seems generous. In the playoffs it's probably 50 /50 although again that's optimistic. All in all nothing to get excited about yet.

I'm off to watch gotg3 tomorrow.  I might catch the game but maybe not. Couldn't really care less if I miss it. It's probably a nothing game

why are you not watching it?

still a chance of getting top 6. Yes not in our hands but I think we beat them tomorrow but relying on PNE beating Sunderland which might happen and Swansea beating WBA.

I’ll watch it, but fully expect what will be a monumental failure from mid-March onwards to be completed by Rovers by 5pm.

Around 10/1 to get top 6 now which I feel is about right.

I don't have Sky so, arguably, I've no status in a debate like this.

But if I did pay Murdoch, I almost certainly wouldn’t pay him to watch tomorrow's game. Watching the game at the ground, I'd feel that my chanting all the chants and cheering the team on might ‐ just possibly! - make a difference. Chanting all the chants and cheering the team on from my settee would only serve to alienate my next-door neighbour for the discordant racket I'd make!

Murdoch sold Sky five years ago.

Draws would do in the other two games, if we keep our end of the bargain.

Highly unlikely that all the boxes will be ticked, imo, and it should never have come to this, given the position we were in.

Here’s to the mother and father of twists and turns (klaxon).
