We’ve been playing without a striker all season

We've been playing without an experienced striker for most of it.

This is a return to the Dolan / Szmodics False 9 stuff.

Really feel for Ennis, Telalovic and Leonard - what a snub this is for them.

Fielding a full back in Brittain on the wing and Sigurdsson up front sums up this threadbare squad and patch-up-and-mend team. . You have to feel sorry for the manager

brittain is better going forwards and hill is better defender, sigurdsson is a good finisher who given a chance usually converts, common sense decision imo

The point is, they're square pegs in round holes. It doesn't work

Like the formation, like the lineup, think it poses questions for them and looks like we will be trying to exploit the break. Don’t think Russell Martin is up to much and if you exploit his weaknesses, he doesn’t have a plan B.

Away win, 2-0, but we won’t see much of the ball.

TBF none of them has done enough to warrant a start and Leonard and Ennis are the best 2 of the 3 to have on the bench

This is crazy football - we're just letting them have the ball. They'll eventually pick a through ball to one of their quick attackers.

I don’t disagree with the complexion, but we’ve got to let them cycle through their attacking routines and drills, run out of ideas/get frustrated and exploit that, when they start veering from the routines and they lose shape. We can try and exploit counter attack opportunities in the meantime, but we can’t create space for them, they’ve got to earn it.

Just hope we’re not down 4 by then. Hill really struggling to keep up for pace on the right.

Can't quite work it out but seems like Moran is meant to be covering the right with Hill Infront of him?  Seem to be playing a weird 4 5 1 when defending so far.  Presume to limit space in gaps between defence and midfield but doesn't look natural so far
