That was ambitious for a club that can't pay decent wages.

It's the next (hopefully 2 signings) that make or break this window.

Decent permanent striker and hopefully the last loan spot goes to a big talent from one of the big boys.

If the last loan ends up being a striker then it has  been a poor do.

It's a poor do if the incomings fail. If we carry on gaining points, it's a success.

So the irrational excitement I had this morning thinking it could be Obafemi, Roberts and Ntcham has well and truly evaporated.

Khadra and Edun, with 2 underage loans to follow.

Whoopdi-fucking-do.

I woke up with irrational excitement but it had nothing to do with football 😅

Did you really think Roberts and Ntcham were realistic last day transfer additions?

I'd prefer Doyle as our Striker option ahead of those we have been linked with. Looks like the lad can do the lot.

We need a permanent striker signing in.

Doyle is a midfielder

Nixon saying someone unexpected has interest in Tom Eaves and Brandon Barker. Doubt its us but never know

Can't see us being interest in Hull's striker Eaves. Makes no sense at all

Take this with an absolute pinch of salt, but someone on FB saying we're in for Josh Maja.

Personally don't believe it at all.

Signing Josh Maja would be a coup and sign of intent from the club. Would Rovers spend 4 million pounds on a fee? Well Rich Sharpe said this morning that we have more money to spend on a striker then we thought.

Would WBA striker Zohore be an option for us. Know the championship

Good player, but never really fulfilled his promise. I have a feeling Mowbray wants someone quicker, rather than another target man. Gallagher can fill that role.

Most deadline day signings aren't realistic a week before deadline day.

Robinho, Martial, Tevez/Mascherano, Andy Carroll. All sublime and ridiculous deadline signings.

In our case you could say Harvey Elliott was unrealistic, as was a certain £7m Chilean.

We just seem happy to be "linked" to those sort of players for a bit of "Street cred" however Mowbray seems more interested getting a pat on the back from the big clubs as an elite groomer through pointless loans.

We have done best having a hard working midfielder as our focal point in attack.
