This game is a tremendous challenge. Getting some defenders back, we will need them. The midfield is where we need the most improvement, imo.

Another of our toughest foes, it’s at home, but I am afraid that’s not enough,

1-2.

These are the type of games that will show us were we are this season. I prefer us playing against the so called better teams. I am looking forward to a Rovers win.

I’d go

TK

Carter Wharton Ayala Hyam Edun/HP

Trav Wharton

Dolan Hirst BB

I think we are going to need three in midfield, rather than three up front. So I would play Morton/Mola, and bench Dolan.

Wouldn’t be against that if I’m honest.

The Wigan thread is closed but does anyone know if we can claim refunds on those tickets?

I think that the game will have to be re-arranged before refunds are given out. It will be interesting if it is re-arranged for mid-week, will the price drop to £25 ?

Baffles me the negativity from some fans of ours it really does.

Yes it'll be a tricky game but to just write it off as a loss is bonkers.

Watford haven't won a game away all season for crying out loud and that includes games against Rotherham, Birmingham, Preston. Are we really much worse than those?!?

1-1 draw.

Watford have played 4 away games, all draws, scoring no more than 1 goal per game with one game being 0-0.

They are due a win or a loss.

Had a chat with the lovely guys at DNSYE podcast last night…pass 25 minutes on your way to Ewood with this if you fancy…

It's a good listen, Ian. You come across very well as a dyed in the wool Rovers fan, and there is a real sense of mutual respect around the contributors. Fair play to the Watford lads, who gave you the floor for a good portion of the 23 minutes. It has come to something though when we go into games (or even into a new season) feeling like the poor relations to clubs like Watford, Wigan, Luton & Hull...

Tonight is a real test for JDT and his influence on the players. I expect Watford to fizz the ball about and to frustrate some of our play, and for them to be a real handful at the sharp end, depending upon who is fit to lead our back line.. I would like to see Rovers re-discover the swagger that potted Swansea, and the graft that carried us past West Brom. If we can put out a decent defence, we have some front line flair to hurt Watford with.

A nervy 1-1 I think...

A gutsy 2-0 I'd like...

A gutted 0-2 I wouldn't be surprised...

COYB!

Bristol City got their first away win of the season at Ewood Park. We are ALWAYS the gift that keeps on giving with these types of things.

Can't call this without first seeing our line-up.

If Ayala and Wharton back, think we might just sneak a win.

If I like the look of our line-up will have a flutter on Rovers who are currently a shade better than 2/1.
