Same breed as that absolute weapon who ran on the pitch wearing t-shirt and gloves and reckoned he'd fight Savage, soon shit himself when Stephen Reid and Nelson towered over him 🤣

Those fingerless gloves totally sold it - straight from the fruit cart. Thought Reid was going to kill him.

Wouldn’t dream of leaving the car there! Burnley would be an ideal location for a Ryanair airport to be fair, with it still called ‘Manchester’

the locals point at aeroplanes and wonder about the world on the other side of the m65,a few have tried to escape but they all come back, shocked at how the "normal people live",they have relationships with people outside their family, one shocked burnley citizen claimed,on one of his rare excursions out of the town😃

Right lads,

What you don't know about me, I suspect, is that " Mrs Sympathetic Claret " and me are " Shared Lives " carers, we have two brothers with severe learning disabilities, aged 41/40, who've lived with us for the last 10 years, for whom we support and care. We became " empty nesters ", and wanted to give something back to society.

One of them has a long term lady-friend, and today they are having a " Promise Party ", ( in effect a mock wedding ), and it has fallen to me to be the " Vicar " ... the girl's mother is in poor health, and I think she just wants to see her daughter to have her " big day ". I'm quite nervous, written what I hope will be suitable and I'm setting off shortly ...

Enjoy/endure tomorrow's game, and many thanks for the ( mainly ) thoughtful & tolerant replies, and to J*B, and his fellow " dictators " for allowing this Dingle interloper to kick off your preview ....

Wish me luck for today, and keep safe and well all !! 😉

When you say “we have two brothers “ and being dingles id have rephrased that slightly to stop any confusion 😂

In all seriousness fair play to you. Past my best on to the bride and groom and safe journey

As an aside - I don't have a season ticket as I have kids and live in Manchester so can only get to a game about once a month... Probably got to about 10 games since I moved up from London last October, probs will be up to 12-13 by March. So established on the system if not a season ticket holder.

With the return fixture at Ewood does anyone know what the chances of me getting tickets will be? Should I be able to get one for me? And how about friends? How many could I get? Ideally three would be good.

Thanks!

It's a 32k seater stadium that regularly sees attendances of 13-14k. You're not going to struggle to get a ticket for the home fixture.

You should be fine mate and if you have a database history of buying tickets 3 really ought not to be an issue. If you encounter any problems at the time DM me.

Yeah, thought that, but being the first derby in six years and having a good season thought that maybe it could be different.

Thanks for putting my fears to rest!

Six years huh? One more and the dingles would need both hands to count it.

Watching City v Brentford here, Raya selected for the Spain world cup squad. We really did bad business on that one, said so at the time but interesting to see what he would fetch now. Fair play to him.

£5m for a championship keeper at the time was a good deal - that is after the addons

I’d trade them all for a win in this but out of the 5 fixtures have an interest in this weekend (rugby league, Clitheroe, rugby Union, cricket and rovers) first blood has gone to bloody Samoa, 2nd defeat of the 5 for Clitheroe v leek. 🤦‍♂️. England will beat Japan in the Union but a grim start indeed.
